JOB PURPOSE:
Get ready to dive into the heart of digital innovation as our Online Merchandiser! In this thrilling role, you'll collaborate closely with our dynamic Marketing Sciences team, reporting directly to the Senior Merchandiser on our eBay Australia account. Our partnership with eBay is all about creating cutting-edge digital shopping experiences, and your focus will be on the exciting world of eBay’s vast range across Horizontal.
As our Online Merchandiser, you'll take charge of prioritising merchandising strategies that drive conversion and boost business performance for promotional and seasonal campaigns. Your responsibilities will span from shaping customer journeys and crafting compelling wireframes to sourcing captivating inventory, launching impactful campaigns, and closely tracking their success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for daily/weekly management of category pages, ensuring site standards are always achieved or exceeded.
- Manage client briefs from start to finish, supporting inventory planning, wireframing, campaign and events builds and QA-ing, ensuring successful delivery to client deadlines across multiple activities.
- Build a full understanding of the client’s content management systems and objectives, advising on the solution that best meets their needs.
- Construct the optimum product range for the target market by balancing price architecture, product variety and other parameters.
- Source items - uploading, merchandising and continuously optimising events, campaigns and category pages.
- Ensure all campaigns are prioritised consistently across desktop, mobile and email platforms.
- To conduct regular performance analysis and feed insight and proposed actions into clients for weekly trading reports.
- Conducting trend research and competitor analysis for weekly/quarterly planning.
SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
- Strong experience in planning and executing digital campaigns, ideally within the retail sector.
- Ideal opportunity if you are looking to take on a client-facing merchandising role or an analytical thinker with merchandising experience, looking to move into e-commerce
- A good eye for style and retail trends and an interest in current and upcoming trends.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing new processes as needed.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritise, meet deadlines under pressure and make the best use of resources; has a good sense of urgency and measurement of risk.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are ambitious with the ability to think strategically, communicate for understanding and contribute something new, demonstrating tenacity to learn and grow.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability.
- Familiarity with various CMS platforms and the ability to quickly adapt to new processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Understanding of SEO principles.
- Analytical experience and a solid understanding of business acumen.
