About the Role
The Senior Content Manager (SCM) leverages on social media content to bring brand ideas and stories to life. The SCM leads brands into fresh creative territories through the skilled use of language and visual design in conveying messages, thoughts and feelings. This involves the planning, production, and publishing of online and social media content. The SCM also supports Ogilvy’s Social Media Team when it comes to thought leadership, opportunity spotting, quality assurance, team training, and new business hunting.
What You’ll Do

- Social Media Management
- Create, execute, and update social media content plans, shot lists, event guides, influencer guides, response spiels, and other applicable requirements designed to meet marketing and campaign objectives, in collaboration with teammates. This will involve development of both planned and ad-hoc content, as well as scheduling and publishing approved materials on social media.
- Content development includes research, content ideation, copywriting, and graphic design.
- If graphic design skills are lacking, willingness to develop graphic design skills via rigid training and self-study must be present.
- Support the team’s weekly Work-In-Progress (WIP) meetings, as well as other projects and initiatives of the Social Media Team
- Help set up social hub projects and, if need be, function as interim content leads.
- Provide leadership and consultation to the junior content managers, as well as render quality assurance support by reviewing and building on their output.
- Help produce social media playbooks and other relevant reference materials that will streamline content treatment, standard protocols and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Physical presence at events that require live content compilation, production, and publication.
- Participation in shoots for social content to ensure shot list is executed correctly
- Willingness to work outside the Philippines for short-term regional projects.
- May be deployed as backup support for local team members who are part of social hubs embedded in client’s office.
- This secondment setup may require reporting to the Client office, where the schedule and work hours will be agreed upon with the Client.
- Social Media Consultation
- Support the business development team in terms of developing proposals that require sample content and responses
- Conduct social media community audits to spot opportunities and determine improvement areas specific to service level agreements.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions related to social media content creation and response management.
- Maintain a constant awareness of general online trends and conversations related to their overall scope of work, to better deal with opportunities and issues.
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Multimedia Arts/Communications/PR/Marketing/Social Sciences or similar studies
- At least 3-4 years of experience in social media management or in a related field in digital marketing, customer management or public relations
- Demonstrable experience in creative ideation and copywriting
- Skills in photoshop and illustration (or at least possess the willingness to learn such graphic design capabilities through rigid training and self-study)
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Skills in photography a plus
- Passion for all things social media - staying on top of latest trend, platform updates, as well as local nuances of consumer behavior
- Written fluency in both English and the local language a must
- Must have good own online reputation
