The Gig
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced leader to head up our growing Paid Social practice. You will be an expert in social media marketing and can successfully apply paid social tactics to achieve client performance goals. This client-facing role provides project management, thought leadership on emerging tactics and coordinates with the Director of Paid Media, sales team, and execution team on all paid social opportunities.
You Will
- Manage all aspects of paid media account management
- Establish holistic media strategy, own client communication, and hit performance goals
- Oversee team members (when applicable) to execute on accounts while providing oversight and strategic guidance for larger initiatives
- Work with client management team to meet reporting deadlines and aid in relevant discussion
- Lead campaign research, implementation, analysis, and proactive tactical recommendations; from budget pacing and report building through strategic recommendations and forecasting
- Work with Director of Paid Media on existing client opportunity, retention and department wide deliverables
- Explore case study opportunities, which includes: gathering research and developing client case studies to be shared with leadership on a quarterly basis
- Actively involved in audience research, tactical recommendations, and strategy proposals for applicable paid media channels for new and existing clients
- Strong involvement in larger strategic initiatives, in the form of guiding team members and presenting information to client
- Participate in new business and marketing initiatives
- Assist Director in pulling competitive data for new business opportunities
- Participate in research and/or build initial tactical recommendations to be finalized during the new business process
- Potential to join new business pitches as skills become further refined
- Oversee training and development of team of 1-3, plus additional new hires as applicable
- Actively involved in transfer of knowledge to junior team members
- Stay on top of industry trends and available beta programs
- Has routine 1:1’s with team talking through goals, proactive feedback and development opportunities
- Assist Director in advancing training materials and bi-weekly training program
- Serve as first escalation touch point for direct reports within internal and external scenarios
About You
- A minimum of 7 years of paid media campaign management hands-on experience, some of which must be in a digital agency environment
- Expert level of knowledge of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok and Twitter)
- Moderate level of knowledge of Google Analytics and GTM practices
- Basic level of knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, GDN, YouTube and Amazon Ads
- Awareness of all digital marketing channels and their potential impact on paid media performance (email, social media, organic, affiliate)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with B2B, B2C, and ecommerce verticals is preferred
- The ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations to solve client challenges
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
- Strong managerial experience, including experience developing and mentoring a team
- The ability to think strategically and make innovative recommendations that drive client goals
- The ability to nurture and retain clients and employee relationships
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with financial data and budgets
- The ability to analyze complex issues and to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations to solve client challenges
