About the Senior Performance Marketing Manager Role
We are looking for an outstanding marketer to help connect Canadian businesses with Float's financial solutions, from coast to coast.
Marketing is a high-impact department at Float, and as Sr Performance Marketing Manager, you'll be at the forefront of expanding our presence nationwide.
The primary focus of the role will be on achieving rapid customer acquisition growth through paid channels.
This role reports to Float's Director of Growth Marketing and works cross functionally with our Product Marketing, Brand, Sales and Customer Success teams.
As the Sr Performance Marketing Manager at Float you will:
- Own our end-to-end performance marketing strategy including execution and optimization.
- Stay on top of the newest trends, releases and algorithm changes to generate the most pipeline from our paid channel budget.
- Unlock new avenues and channels for scalable growth by developing an extensive test-and-learn roadmap.
- Measure, analyze, learn and iterate on channels, tactics, creative, landing pages strategies and more.
- Craft full funnel digital marketing strategies, work with the wider marketing team to integrate paid channels into our overall marketing mix, creating a multi-touch journey that engages the right target audience and ultimately converts to pipeline and revenue.
- Craft personalized and targeted messaging that captures and engages our audience, working closely with Product Marketing and Content teams.
- Own and optimize the paid channel budget for business objectives by crafting scalable strategies that optimize for our northstar KPI of pipeline, leading indicators like CPL and CPC and lagging indicators like revenue and payback.
- Own the technical marketing implementation, platform setup, tools and operational systems required to automate and scale our digital strategies.
Requirements
You'll be great in this role if:
- You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally with a bachelor's degree (though that's not required).
- You have previously been accountable to a pipeline target.
- You understand how paid contributes to a full-funnel strategy.
- The marketing funnel is your best friend.
- You've led and executed paid strategies from demand creation through to demand capture that exceed pipeline targets.
- You're a player-coach. You have executional chops as well as experience managing contractors, agencies or an internal team.
- You're motivated by testing and learning. You don't have all the answers but you do know how to find them.
- You're closely aligned with a "test and find out" mindset and understand how to get the insight out of your results.
- You're curious to understand the ‘why'.
- Scrappy and voracious, you want to know the ‘why' behind every answer.
- You're a curious thinker who can combine quantitative thinking with great creativity.
- Finding unique and novel ways to work through obstacles is fun for you.
Float won't be a fit if:
- You're a hands-off leader, looking to build out a large team and handle only strategy.
- You're looking for full demand generation ownership across paid and unpaid channels.
- You prefer a highly structured work environment.
- You are not super detail oriented.
- You are not comfortable working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
- You are not comfortable with ambiguity, iteration or a fast-moving environment.
- You are uncomfortable with receiving and giving direct feedback.
- You are uncomfortable with change.
- You aren't resilient.
- You have an ego.
- You aren't super passionate about helping Float build the best business finance platform for Canadian companies and teams.
Don't meet every single requirement?
If you're excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway.
You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
