Our Mindshare team is looking for a Strategy Director to join the team.
The strategy director role is to turn insightful strategies into actionable media solutions that deliver growth for our clients. It plays a crucial role in understanding the market and media landscape, leveraging audience insights, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring effective integration with media platforms.
Strategy director bridges the gap between our central strategy, content and media teams. It also sees the big picture, collaborating with multiple teams, stakeholders and agencies to ensure market leading campaigns that balance proven media channels with innovative and disruptive solutions to accelerate growth.
Responsibilities
Market and Media Landscape Understanding• Market Analysis: Continuously analyze the market landscape to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Keep abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and shifts in consumer behavior.• Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough competitor analysis to understand their strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. Use this information to position the agency more effectively in the market.• Media Trends: Monitor and assess changes in media consumption patterns, new media platforms, and innovations. Ensure the agency’s strategies are aligned with current and future media trends.
Audience Insights and Strategy• Audience Research: Oversee the collection and analysis of audience data to understand demographics, psychographics, and behavioral patterns. Utilize research to gain deep insights into target audiences.• Consumer & Media Behavior: Analyze consumer behavior and preferences to tailor media strategies that resonate with different segments. Leverage audience insights to drive effective connections and engagement.• Strategy Development: Develop and implement audience-centric strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Ensure strategies are data-driven and based on solid insights.
Identifying Growth Opportunities•Cracking the brief: Responsible for leading planning response to brief. Receive and interrogate briefs, understanding both business and communications objectives.
•Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate new opportunities, including emerging and growth audiences, new media channels, and partnership possibilities. Assess potential for growth and profitability.•Idea & Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within team encourage the exploration of new ideas and strategies that can differentiate the agency and drive growth.• Client Development: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and objectives. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services that can contribute to their growth and success.
Team Leadership and Management • Strategic Oversight: Lead and mentor the strategy team. Lean into developing the team members.
• Collaboration: Foster collaboration across different teams within the agency, including creative, media planning, and analytics, to ensure integrated and effective strategies.• Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients. Provide strategic recommendations and updates on market trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experiences in media or strategy department or equivalent
- Upper-intermediate level in English
- Expertise in Microsoft Office
- Experience leading processes from brief to execution.
- Effective monitoring and execution of the strategy; developing/implementing the necessary tools and methodologies (i.e. TGI, Audience Origin, BAV, GWI)
- A true collaborator - accessing and championing collective thinking from across the agency for the benefit of the client
- Able to show strong communication and presentation skills
- An ability to forge excellent client relationship with senior clients
- A drive to find innovative and disruptive solutions to creatively solve client challenges.
- Advanced media planning knowledge and skills with strong ability to utilise agency and industry tools to support planning recommendation.
