The Director, Data Analytics is part of the highly collaborative Analytic and Modeling team supporting the Data division within Epsilon. The Data division works with the industry’s #1 consumer database using demographic, survey and transactional data at first-party and third-party levels to provide a full view of customers and prospects. The team leverages these assets to gain insights, develop innovative analytical solutions and provide highly responsive audiences. The Director manages a staff and is responsible for identifying and executing upon analytical projects and opportunities to enhance the Data business. Additionally, the director provides strategic input to goals, priorities and deliverables of the Data Analytics department helping ensure that business needs are met in an analytically sound way.
What You’ll Achieve
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand client needs and deliverables for analytic projects.
- Design, research and develop new analytical tools, programs and products to meet business needs.
- Effectively execute high-level analytic projects or research by creating effective project/research plans and finding solutions that make efficient use of company resources.
- Bring novel solutions to emerging or existing business challenges by seeking out and trying new tools or methodologies, comparing to alternatives, synthesizing the research findings into actionable results and delivering these recommendations with confidence as well as substance.
- Find creative solutions when standard approaches are not enough.
- Lead your team by collaborating directly with team members and other management for identifying projects, producing project plans, performing original research, and evaluating existing and potential marketing strategies for sales personnel and external
- Work in complex environment being able to manage multiple, concurrent projects of differing project complexity levels and adapting to changing priorities.
- Focus on innovative ways to improve efficiency and quality control throughout the Data organization.
- Accountable for setting own direction and giving Analysts through Principle Analysts direction on day-to-day activities.
- Provide technical guidance to the rest of the team, ensuring not only technical growth but adherence to standards and procedures.
- Reinforce Epsilon’s value to clients through advanced analytical insights and strategic recommendations.
Who You Are
- What you’ll bring with you:
- Minimum 7 years prior experience with data analysis or modeling with large transactional databases
- Minimum 10 years experience in a statistical, data science or decision science field.
- Minimum 3 year experience working with external clients in a business environment
- Demonstrated proactiveness and resourcefulness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects.
- Demonstrated team player and leadership abilities with the ability to build teams and consensus to support business objectives.
- Ability to successfully navigate in a matrixed environment
- Analytical, problem-solving disposition with excellent communication skills
- Excellent project management and people management skills
- Ability to prioritize between tasks and make strategic decisions.
- Ability to effectively use a combination of data manipulation and analytic software to solve client or business problems
- Ability to effectively use visualization tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau) to present research insights, trends, and recommendations to an audience
- Strong knowledge of statistical/machine learning principles and methods
- Ability to compare alternative methodologies/solutions and make recommendations
- Ability to move with the quick pace of changing business and client needs
- Ability to make recommendations with limited information. Determine the critical path to the decision.

Pay Range: $134,325 - $223,875
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location and application employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
