Klick Health is committed to grow its footprint and bring our expertise to have a greater impact in the oncology space and we are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in oncology advertising to join our team and lead the creation of strategic, impactful campaigns in the oncology space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and complexities of marketing oncology treatments, including launch experience, knowledge of industry regulations, therapeutic landscapes (solid tumor and/or hematologic malignancies), and the critical needs of both healthcare professionals and patients. You will be responsible for developing innovative, compliant advertising solutions that effectively communicate complex medical concepts while driving awareness, education, and engagement. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in crafting campaigns that resonate on both an intellectual and emotional level, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by cancer. A passion for oncology and a strong commitment to advancing healthcare communication are essential in this role.
Management and Execution
- Manage a portfolio/group of oncology-focused accounts, driving overall client success in this critical therapeutic area.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team of client service professionals, ensuring deep understanding of oncology landscapes.
- Strong financial acumen, including forecasting and budget/staff planning, with an emphasis on oncology program nuances.
- Oversee project execution to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, especially those specific to oncology treatments and communications.
- Manage tight deadlines and exceed client expectations with attention to detail and flawless execution of oncology-focused initiatives.
- Review and manage project budgets to ensure success within the oncology portfolio.
- Lead cross-functional teams in delivering innovative oncology programs that make an impact.
- Be action-oriented and solution-focused to navigate the complexities of oncology marketing and communications.
- Ensure all communications uphold Klick Health standards and contribute to an exceptional client experience.
- Deeply understand the client’s oncology business, therapeutic areas, competitors, key drivers, and market environment.
- Relentlessly identify opportunities to bring value to clients in the oncology space, including strategic recommendations tailored to the specific challenges of oncology brands.
- Articulate oncology brand objectives and ensure alignment with marketing strategies and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of tailored account plans for oncology-focused clients.
Experience and Skills
- 10+ years of client service experience in the advertising industry, with a strong focus on healthcare and oncology.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare advertising experience, including demonstrated success working on oncology brands.
- Comfortable managing $8M+ in scope of oncology-focused business.
- Experience working with multiple oncology clients and brands or managing a large-scale oncology business.
- Proven ability to build relationships with multiple clients, particularly at the Director/Senior Director level in oncology-focused organizations.
- Track record of growing client business, with a focus on oncology market challenges and opportunities.
- Expertise in identifying oncology-specific client objectives and delivering strategic account plans.
- Experience leading client meetings and presenting complex oncology concepts clearly and persuasively.
- In partnership with Project Management, review and create scopes of work with a focus on oncology deliverables.
- Ability to interpret and communicate client feedback, including clarifying changes for internal teams.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to articulate oncology-focused strategies effectively.
- Understanding of marketing communications and regulatory requirements specific to the oncology industry in the US.
- Comfort and enthusiasm for integrating AI into work processes, particularly for enhancing oncology program effectiveness.
- University degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Position Requirements
- Travel: As needed travel to clients, mainly in the US and Canada
- Valid passport is required
- Hybrid work environment, two days a week in office required
