OverviewLead the development and execution of media plans across multiple clients and industries, considering both the client's and the agency's key performance indicators.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective media strategies.
Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications, including ongoing communication and relationship building to improve client satisfaction and grow their business.
Mentor and guide junior planning team members.
Identify new business opportunities and generate leads.
Represent the company in client and industry meetings and presentations.
Contribute to the overall business and strategic direction of the media planning team.
Play a role in shaping the overall direction and success of the media planning team.
Drive growth in various assigned areas of focus, utilizing cross-functional synergies to improve efficiency and support the client's broader goals.
Oversee the development and implementation of media strategies, including day-to-day operations.
Effectively manage resources and work to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members through mentoring and training.
Foster a strong partnership with clients through effective communication and relevant advice.
Develop educational programs to expand clients' knowledge and understanding of media strategy.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of communications strategy and advertising principles.
Responsibilities• Possess good verbal and written communication skills, strong selling skills, strong on numeracy, literacy and accuracy
• To proactively manage clients' expectations
• To develop and sell communication plans either as the lead planner or as part of a planning team, depending on the size and complexity of the business
• To ensure internal & external marketing of the agency's work in the regional and international awards
• To add complementary skills to the team and contribute valuable ideas, opinions and feedback.
• To communicate in an open and candid manner and can be counted upon to fulfil any commitments made to others on the team.
• To monitor day to day aspects of junior employees’ work to ensure high quality output
• To model behaviors expected of others and inspire others to undertake challenging tasks and projects (leading by example).
• To carry out appraisals for the team while proactively managing the team's motivation & growth
• To provide on the job training and learning opportunities for junior employees in your teams
• To be a strong team-player within Account/Planning teams, Buying and specialist teams
• To undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested, e.g. help on new business, analysis for regional offices
QualificationsWe are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and display a desire to learn. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, we would be ideally looking for someone who can ‘hit the ground running’.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:
• BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
• Proven working experience of 8-10 years of experience in media planning (online & offline TV planning is key for this role)
• Proven working experience in working in the sector relevant to the account
