Job Overview
The Director, Performance Marketing will develop digital paid media performance strategies, leading optimization plans for the organization and leveraging their data targeting expertise in support of marketing plans that drive acquisition, engagement and retention, generate leads and result in revenue growth.
This role will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives as assigned, leveraging paid media, SEM, SEO, and other digital channels to optimize conversion rates and maximize ROI.
The Director, Performance Marketing will work closely with the Director of Advertising, ensuring alignment and synergy between performance marketing efforts and broader advertising strategies in support of CCS traffic driving and conversion objectives.
The person in this role will also partner with the revenue team, prioritizing the success of the organization’s 5-year fundraising growth strategy.
To be successful, the Director of Performance Marketing should possess excellent performance-driven digital marketing expertise and collaborative skills.
Extensive knowledge of and experience in the digital ecosystem is a must.
What You’ll Be Doing
- In collaboration with the broader revenue development and marketing teams, assess/audit and develop optimization plans for CCS’s full suite of digital advertising work to inform, develop and accelerate the funnel and increase conversion rates in support of broader organizational business objectives, with the priority goal of driving incremental revenue.
- Optimize digital marketing campaigns through continuous performance testing and analysis to improve performance metrics, including CTR, conversion rates, and overall ROI.
- Parameters may include, but not be limited to conversion platforms, audience, data targeting, creative (visual and messaging) to drive qualified website traffic, leads and conversions.
- Lead KPI recommendations, paid media performance optimization, monitoring and reporting for campaigns in support of business unit objectives.
- Work closely with CCS’s digital media agency partners on always-on product-specific and signature campaigns that drive traffic and increase conversions.
- Continually monitor digital platform industry trends against results and proactively provide media recommendations to maximize campaign performance.
- Develop performance analytics/dashboards and provide regular reporting on key metrics alongside CRM/API attribution results to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Keep current in consumer, media, and digital trends and advancements in technology.
- Partner with teams across CCS, including Fundraising, Communications, Mission and IT among others, to align goals and leverage cross-channel opportunities.
- Work closely with the Director of Advertising to ensure performance marketing initiatives are well-integrated with the organization’s campaigns.

Qualifications
- A combination of at least 12 years of post-secondary education and work experience in digital advertising, marketing, media, or similar.
- Subject matter expertise in digital performance marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, and other SEM tools.
- Good understanding of e-commerce principles and CMS platforms such as Salesforce.
- Familiarity with all major social media networks and other social communication platforms.
- Excellent understanding of digital practices such as SEO, SEM, SMO, and PPC.
- Adaptable, versatile, and the ability to keep up to date with customer and marketing trends and advancements in technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent financial and analytic abilities.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset, with English being essential due to the organization’s nationwide operations.
- Strong digital agency experience required.
