About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Growth Marketer to bootstrap key initiatives and get shit done as part of our Lifecycle Marketing team. You'll be joining a team of driven crafters who are committed to pushing themselves out of their comfort zones and thriving on change and chaos. We don't operate on a lot of processes, but we do trade on impact. That means you need to care deeply about what you're doing and be committed to continuously developing your craft.
As a Growth Marketer on Lifecycle Marketing, you'll be responsible for accelerating the success of new and/or existing merchants through continuous data driven optimization of our customer communication channels (email, push, etc.). You'll implement growth strategies, A/B tests, and conversion rate optimizations to drive measurable growth against product and customer level KPIs. You'll also obsess about the customer lifecycle, conducting analyses to better understand the merchant lifecycle and how they use each product line.

What you'll do:
- Develop and implement new campaigns aimed at addressing customer pain points for specific products and audiences across Shopify.
- Monitor performance of existing campaigns and optimize in partnership with marketing automation and creative teams.
- Establish and maintain robust feedback loops between strategy development and marketing execution.
- This includes conducting A/B testing, generating insightful dashboards, and driving data-driven decision-making via ad-hoc analysis.
- Collaborate with Mar-Tech and Data Science to scale up lifecycle marketing through Machine Learning, LLMs, and foundational process improvement.
- Influence long term growth by conceptualizing and leading new cross functional initiatives, aligning LCM objectives with overall marketing strategies and providing valuable insights to drive broad impact.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in order to propose innovative strategies and drive continuous improvements in our marketing efforts.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years experience driving measurable impact in a high growth or startup environment, in a marketing or other highly analytical role (e.g. product analytics, finance, etc.).
- A strategic marketing mind that has the skills to go deep on CRM/Email where necessary, but also understands the fundamentals of multiple growth marketing channels.
- The ability to blend an analytical, data-first approach to problem solving, the creativity to formulate strategies, and the communication ability to share your vision with stakeholders and secure buy-in.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading ambiguous, cross-functional projects in a highly matrixed environment.
- Able to navigate and coordinate with various teams to achieve project objectives.
- Passionate about generating actionable insights from A/B tests and large unstructured datasets, obsessed with understanding customer behavior and how to optimize.
- Experience consulting with product, sales and product marketing teams on growth strategies to drive their respective product lines.
- Track record of partnering with Data Science, Mar-Tech teams to scale impact via algorithmic approaches, including but not limited to LLMs, Multi-Armed-Bandits, Marketing Attribution.
- Growth mindset - if I don’t know how to do it, I’ll learn or figure it out.
- Some proficiency in SQL required.
