URBN is looking for a Associate Manager, Ad Operations. URBN’s approach to digital media is ever-evolving, and Programmatic Media is a core channel to drive efficiency and new customer growth. We are expanding our in-house center of excellence to better serve all of the URBN brands with both strategy and buying. The Associate Manager of Ad Operations will support the development, implementation and optimization of digital advertising campaigns across multiple channels. The role will work closely with brand media, creative and analytics teams to ensure ads are trafficked properly, tracking is set up accurately, and campaigns run smoothly from start to finish. We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of ad tech processes, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee the trafficking, setup, and delivery of digital advertising campaigns across display, video, social, mobile, and other digital platforms.
- Ensure proper ad creative, targeting, and tracking parameters are in place.
- Manage the setup and configuration of ad servers (e.g., Google Campaign Manager, Sizmek, or others) and demand-side platforms (DSPs) to ensure accurate ad serving and measurement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ad delivery, tracking, or reporting.
- Ensure proper tracking setup, including pixels, tags, and third-party measurement tools, and work closely with the analytics and media teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Conduct pre-launch quality assurance checks to ensure all creative assets and targeting settings are correct.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with creative, reporting discrepancies, or ad delivery in real-time.
- Work closely with media planners, creatives, and analytics teams to ensure alignment on campaign goals and technical requirements; act as the point of contact for any ad ops-related questions or technical issues.
- Assist with optimizing campaign performance by monitoring key metrics such as delivery, pacing, and overall effectiveness, and provide recommendations for adjustments to improve campaign success.
- Generate regular reports on campaign performance, troubleshooting any issues, and ensuring accurate attribution and tracking.
- Share insights with key stakeholders to help inform future campaigns.
- Stay current on trends in digital advertising technology and best practices.
- Suggest process improvements to streamline ad ops workflows and enhance campaign efficiency.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in ad operations or campaign management.
- Hands-on keyboard experience trafficking campaigns in ad servers (i.e. CM360, Flashtalking, Innovid).
- Proficiency in trafficking ads, setting up tracking pixels, and managing third-party tags.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Tag Manager, Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager, or similar.
- Ability to analyze performance data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with reporting tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar.
- High level of accuracy and thoroughness in trafficking and QA, with a strong ability to identify potential issues and resolve them quickly.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and quickly resolve issues as they arise during campaign execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
