OverviewWhat you’ll do:
You will be a part of a “best in breed” commerce experience practice pulling from the leading minds within Publicis Groupe’s media agencies (Publicis Media, Spark, Starcom, and Performics). This role will be critical in building out a distinct and industry defining Amazon strategy for Colgate Palmolive. This person will be responsible for
- developing and driving a innovative strategy for our Amazon commerce practice with Colgate Palmolive
- driving innovative thinking and testing opportunities
- owning annual planning and tentpole moments in partnership with Pacvue
- establishing and evolving external cross-brand and cross-functional relationships
- working to develop thought leadership content to demonstrate our forward position in the commerce space
- leading internal communications with media buying, data/tech and analytics teams to create innovative commerce media solutions
- story-telling through data

The ideal candidate understands how to navigate the dynamic, fast changing world of Amazon with strong Amazon partnership and understanding of AMC, Vendor Central, Sponsored Ads (Search) and Amazon DSP (Display/Video). You are a versatile media expert who:
- specializes in strategic ways to promote brands across the Amazon landscape through search and display
- utilizes your deep knowledge and experience on Amazon’s ecosystems to understand how to present accurate business situations, innovative ideas, trends and actionable adjustments for future campaigns to your client teams.
- has a robust understanding of different business situations and translating business goals into media strategy
- understands media vs business KPIs, Amazon ad types and performance benchmarks, google sheets & slides, excel formulas
- has an ability to translate large data sets and media metrics into learnings that tell a compelling story
- confident to speak up and push back on clients and partners when you have a different opinion
The role demands a love for educating, teaching and pushing a client team while establishing capabilities beyond the day to day execution of media. The ideal candidate will want to lead and build new ways to strategically think around Colgate Palmolive’s business on Amazon; pushing for different KPI & audience tests, budget reallocation exercises and optimizing our current media strategy.
ResponsibilitiesDirector Commerce Experience Strategy will:
- Lead media strategies & own strategy storytelling
- Work with client teams to create media solutions from their business situations
- Lead the development of insight-backed media strategies on Amazon across all Colgate Palmolive’s brands
- Own annual planning and key tentpole campaigns with our media partners
- Strategize around major Amazon tentpoles (Prime Day, Turkey 5) as well as more “ownable” moments and how to prioritize investment throughout the year based on performance
- Be on top of Amazon and industry updates/ trends to bring innovation and opportunities to Colgate Palmolive
- Create presentations that drive education and inspiration for change as this client values proactive sharing of ideas
- Coach, partner and mentor
- Advise & partner with our Business Leadership and external media teams
- Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to the Sr. Strategist that reports into this role
- Be the go-to expert in Amazon and collaborate across the agency
- Keep up to date with, and vet, emerging platforms and trends while regularly sharing new news and opportunities with clients
- Develop and publish POVs internally and for our clients on the value of different media vehicles (strengthens and weaknesses)
- Partner with the other Commerce Media Directors to share learnings and best practices
- Work hand and hand with our internal OS platform team to consult on tools and be a voice of Amazon Media

Compensation Range: $127,585.00 - $183,330.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
