Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Experience with managing escalations and crises, and working with teams and executives at the same time.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management across multiple issues.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD.
- Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety.
- Experience working closely with policy teams.
- Familiarity with Google products, infrastructure, and types of online abuse.
- Ability to work across time zones, including weekend on-call work.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products.
They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads.

Partnering cross-functionally across the business, we strive for a 360 view of cross-product risks facing Google to provide incident intelligence and abuse mitigation assurance.

A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential strategic risks to users or Google, conduct impact assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to manage high-stakes events.
- Develop and lead short and long-term projects that contribute to end-to-end crisis management.
- Review past incidents and identify context, root causes, and strategic actions for improvement.
- Take command in and track issues/escalations throughout the lifecycle of an incident.
- Foster collaboration across different departments to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of incident response SOPs, and ensure swift and effective response in times of crisis.
- Utilize our prioritization framework to consistently work on key issues.
- Participate in and contribute to a globally consistent training program for incident response.
- Be exposed to graphic, controversial, and/or upsetting content.
