OverviewThe Associate Business Affairs Director is responsible for being a senior leader on the Business Affairs Team managing Business Affairs and talent aspects for various Content Productions (TV/Radio/Print/Video/Social etc). Works closely with Content Producers, Account Management and Finance to ensure all Content Productions are executed and delivered following all Client and Razorfish guidelines. Responsible for mentoring and providing guidance to all Business Affairs Team members. Responsible for managing direct reports if needed. The Associate BA Director has similar job responsibilities to the Sr. Business Affairs Manager with the addition of the noted key differentiators listed below.
Responsibilities- Work closely with Producers, Creative, Client Account Management and Finance on all Content production jobs from creative approval to final billing.
- Review creative for potential legal issues, including clearances and licensing of third-party materials. Liaise with Legal as needed.
- Work closely with Business Affairs Team to maintain Rights Managed Asset Tracker including handling negotiations for renewals as needed.
- Estimate SAG Talent/Non-Union sessions and residuals on Extreme Reach Talent platform for productions and prepare client facing talent estimates for approval
- Handle scale and over-scale talent negotiations including celebrity negotiations.
- Prepare SAG/Non-Union talent contracts for Producers and process contracts after shoot with talent paymaster on paymaster’s platform.
- Review final cuts/materials to ensure all licenses, contracts, releases are in place prior to delivery of spots/materials.
- Prepare and file SAG/Non-union final cast/completion reports in BOX and on talent paymaster’s platform as needed. Process all talent residual payments with paymaster and with Finance.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract to Production, Creative and Client Account Management teams
- Prepare and present SAG/Non-union Talent/BA workshops for Producer and Account Teams as needed.
- Negotiate and manage third-party clearances and licensing (including music, UGC footage, etc.) necessary for production.
- Work closely with Vendor Management Team and Producers on preparing/reviewing all vendor contracts.
- Assist Producers in reviewing vendor bids and preparing client facing estimates.
- Assist Producers with insurance declarations as needed.
- Work closely with Third Party Finance team on all invoice submissions/approvals, vendor payments and vendor on-boarding.
- Maintain project folders for all jobs worked on in BOX
- Generate Ad-Id Codes as needed
- Assist as needed with Network Clearances and Broadcast traffic
- Work with Client Cost Consultants as needed.
- Works closely with BA Director, Finance leads, Legal and Head of Production:
- Implementing process, procedures and policies for managing content productions effectively
- Creating and implementing training materials to assist Production team
- Re-evaluating contract templates and guidelines with Legal periodically to keep up to date with trends/issues.
- Scoping new business LOE’s for BA Mgrs
- Identifying Industry trends/concerns and communicating to teams
QualificationsEducational Background:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising or equivilent work experience (e.g., Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Design).
Typical Background:
- Experience in a digital marketing/advertising agency.

Compensation Range: $98,500 to $165,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
