OverviewThe Vice President of Retail Media & Commerce Strategy will lead the strategic vision and execution of innovative retail media solutions for clients across multiple retailers and product categories. This senior leadership role will champion the growth and evolution of the agency's Retail Media & Commerce practice, driving business outcomes while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture. The VP will work closely with cross-functional leadership to align agency objectives, grow revenue, and position the organization as a leader in retail media strategy. Additionally, this role will serve as a key representative of the agency in new business opportunities and high-profile industry engagements.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Set the vision and strategic direction for the Retail Media & Commerce practice, ensuring alignment with overarching agency goals.
- Lead the development and execution of retail media strategies to deliver measurable business impact for clients.
Team Development and Leadership
- Oversee, mentor, and inspire a team of retail media and commerce strategists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Support career development and retention strategies to build and sustain top talent within the team.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the latest tools, trends, and best practices to remain at the forefront of the industry.
Client and Business Growth
- Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted advisor on retail media & commerce strategy.
- Drive new business efforts, including participating in pitches and proposal development.
- Actively contribute to the retention and growth of existing clients by ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to integrate Retail Media strategies into larger commerce & media initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve challenges across teams, clients, and agency operations, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
- Establish and optimize processes that support scalable and efficient retail media operations.
Thought Leadership
- Serve as a spokesperson and thought leader for the agency in the retail media space, participating in external speaking engagements and industry events.
- Develop and share insights, trends, and thought leadership content to solidify the agency's position as a market leader.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in media strategy, with significant expertise in retail media, paid search, programmatic advertising, and e-commerce.
- Proven success in managing and scaling a team or practice within a fast-paced, dynamic agency environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through strategic planning, innovation, and client relationship management.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience representing an organization as a speaker or panelist at industry events is a strong plus.

Compensation Range: $156,560 - $203,490 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
