Overview of job In this role, you willoversee the division of GroupM Nexus and Choreograph’s commercial and financials’ needs, handle daily issues, manage respective stakeholders and operation excellence improvement. The role requires commercial, financials and operation partnering with global, regional and local stakeholders, constant communicating and negotiating with all stakeholders. In addition, you will continuously work to strategically expand, preserve, or improve the company’s procedures, standards or policies while sticking to business edicts and regulatory guidelines.

Measures of success – In three months:
- Be conversant with GroupM Divisions and Agencies
- Support budgeting and costing exercise in partnership with key stakeholders: President of GroupM Nexus, President of Choreograph etc.
- Oversee day-to-day commercial and operation activities of GroupM Nexus and Choreograph.
- Good understanding of all necessary control, compliances and GroupM Nexus and Choreograph’s operation and processes.
- Achieved clear understanding on Process Excellence program expectations and local exercise approach and timelines
In six months:
- Lead the quarterly forecasting processes, costing, resources planning and monthly KPIs tracking
- Partner with Head of GroupM Nexus and Choreograph for all Commercial, Operation and Cost Recharge Computation Model
- Work closely with respective stakeholders on all identified process improvement projects
- Review and lead new and existing client contracting and negotiation procedures
In 12 months:
- Responsible for GroupM Nexus and Choreograph for annual budget/quarterly/monthly forecast, cost recharge model by channel/service Pillar.
- Joined ownership with Head of GroupM Nexus and Choreograph on overall budgeting, costing, resources planning and operational performance
- Supported the ongoing process excellence program activities, including onboarding new entities, new processes, new team members
- Ensure compliance of client and vendor contract.
Responsibilities of the role:
Act as a Commercial Partner to GroupM Nexus and Choreograph
- As an advisor, commercial and operation partner.
- Ensure the sustainability and efficiency and GroupM Nexus and Choreograph operations
- Partner with GroupM Nexus and Choreograph management team to deliver on yearly targets
- Lead, plan and execute annual budgeting, Cost Recharge Model and Resources planning
- Advise, monitor, and manage Quarterly and Monthly forecasting
- Costing – Maintain competitiveness of cost by designing, building, tracking, and updating Recharge Model with reference to timesheet hours, billings, net sales, cost to revenue, billings to headcount etc.
- Cost controllership – Ensure that all resources are optimally employed and deployed by building out strong commercial and operational processes that are integrated with Agency, Media, Finance, IT and Human Resource.
- Set up processes for tracking metrics (KPIs) used to measure GroupM Nexus and Choreograph performance aligning to overall GroupM strategy and vision.
• Streamline alignment process with agency for Nexus and Choreograph resourcing.
- Being an interface between GroupM Nexus and Choreograph and all other stakeholders
- Scope not limiting to the above, ad hoc special projects and new initiatives
Act as Market Process Excellence Lead
- Support the Process Excellence programme deployment in the market (incl. new entities, new processes, and new team members)
- Drive market’s continuous process improvement, including:
- Work with the market Compliance Lead
- To coordinate and facilitate periodic market process review to identify process improvements, pain points and solutions with Local teams and regional stakeholders
- To ensure that process documentation is updated timely by Local teams
- As part of the GMS community, support the GMS Head to regularly share learnings and leading practices with the other markets’ Process Excellence Leads and the Regional team
Governance, Compliance, Risk & Reporting
- Ensure all contracts, client, vendors, etc. are approved, signed and filed in accordance with company’s compliance and policies.
- Risk and corporate governance management
- Assist internal and external auditors for GroupM Nexus and Choreograph operation and processes
- Ensure that all management reports submitted within deadline
- Monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting to be carried out with high accuracy and timeliness and developing processes to ensure quality reporting
- Variances to be fully explained and analyzed with action plan
Others
- Set up proper commercial model for full traffic management pillar including social, performance, EC, data and tech.
- Own Nexus new and existing client contracting, negotiation procedures, profitability analysis and NWC tracking.
- New business pitch assistance
- Manage sales and OP comparing to budget/forecast as the profit center instead of cost center.
- Manage non-media vendor’s cost/invoicing flow for performance revenue stream
- Responsible for all commercial and finance related work for merge and Acquisitions.
What you will need:
- Graduate Caliber with 15+ years of experience with strong commercial, costing and operations background
- Proactive, self-starter with strong commercial and operation acumen
- Working closely with President of GroupM Nexus, President of Choreograph and all stakeholders
- Leadership qualities – ability to lead and deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding environment
- Good people management skill in a highly matrix environment
- Sharp, action orientated and able to put across concepts convincingly
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability in interpreting performance trends and taking proactive action
- Experience in Media / Advertising industry will be an added advantage
- Experience of working in successful fast paced business is preferable
- Comprehensive understanding of key elements of route performance (both commercial and operational)
- Good attitude with a “can-do”, positive and strive for excellence mindset.
