About the Role: As a Colorist at WITHIN, you’ll play a pivotal, project-based role within our post-production team, stepping in on projects as they arise to elevate the visual tone and quality of stills and footage through expert color correction, grading, and digital manipulation. Working under the guidance of the Post Production Supervisor, you’ll contribute to a variety of projects across multiple accounts and contract types—ranging from targeted campaigns to preparing footage and project files for editorial. This role calls for a meticulous eye, strong organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate challenges and prioritize tasks effectively as you support the creative vision on a per-project basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with transferring and distributing footage and project files across the post-production and editorial teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors and Post Producers to enhance the color quality and overall impact of video and imagery.
- Develop reusable LUTs (Look-Up Tables) for standard footage as well as custom color grades for high-visibility projects, including OTT and TV commercials.
- Work closely with the Assistant Editor to improve workflow solutions that address specific client and production requirements.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to client/brand standards and quality guidelines, and meet project timelines.
- Communicate any technical or project-related issues directly to the Post Production Supervisor to avoid delays and maintain a smooth production process.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in DaVinci Resolve and proficiency with peripheral color grading devices.
- Advanced knowledge of Color Theory and strong artistic sensibilities.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a creative team and independently manage tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with managing and transferring physical and cloud based media to ensure smooth integration with production workflows.
