The UK, as one of our major markets, is an early adopter and undergoing transformation which sees us building a new resource management function alongside the implementation Adobe Workfront as our enabling technology. For the first time in our 125-year history, we will have aconnected approach to managing our client demand and employee capacity across one dentsu.
Job Description
The purpose of the Resource Manager role is to manage supply and demand across practise area(s) with accountability for executing strategies to meet resourcing needs for client teams and the organisation. They will partner and collaborate with growth, HR, finance, operations and talent acquisition to staff teams timely and ensure excellence in client delivery.
You will report to the EMEA Resource management & WFM Director and you will:
- Own resource requests by validating requirements and affordability, searches for candidates and presents candidates for consideration
- Help review capacity across capability areas on an ongoing basis and works to re-balance professionals who are above / below utilisation targets
- Identify instances of current and potential future over/under utilization and work with leadership to address issues and mitigate risk
- Resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties, which may include identifying creative staffing alternatives and partnering with projects and resources
- Liaises between Account, service line leadership, recruiting, HRBP, Operations for applicable supply and demand
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative tasks and system updates relating to supply and demand
- Review opportunity pipeline to create and understand the picture of upcoming demand
- Understand the impacts (financial, client relationship, skill) of applying one resource over another or removing a resource from work
- Engage with resources, gain meaningful understanding of their experience and aspirations, and identify the right opportunities for them
- Support resource meetings to understand impacts to resource needs (new projects, timeline movement) and facilitate risk/issue mitigations
- Capture action items and meeting notes on weekly/bi-weekly Resource Management calls with leadership teams
- Partner with team members and leadership in implementing continuous improvement related to resource management, talent pipelining, acquisition and onboarding - including contractor and off, near and onshore
Qualifications
· 2 years' experience in Resource Management, Recruitment or Operational position
· Experience in using Workfront for Resource Management
· Experience in creating and analysing MI across people, client and financial datasets
· Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
· Proven ability to co-ordinate and manage various projects at the same time, involving numerous stakeholders
· Ability to think innovatively in developing change
· Able to foresee potential issues in advance and navigate around those
· Proactive and hands-on.
· Experience with financial concepts, practices, and administration
· Focus on building processes and improvement in staffing efficiencies
· Consultative
· Action-driven, service oriented, self-managed.
