Off the back of new business growth, we are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a Retail Designer (Multimedia) to join our PXP team.
Job description:
This role plays a key part in Publicis Groupe’s connected ecosystem for one of our major clients, and will be exclusively focused on the delivery of their retail business. You’ll be part of a tight-knit PXP production team, onsite at our City Road office, collaborating with our broader teams across Saatchi & Saatchi, Spark Foundry and Digitas.
The primary focus of the Graphic Designer is to deliver multimedia retail design across print and digital deliverables. You’ll get to collaborate closely with creative, client service and producer teams to design templated retail campaigns, and develop finished art in preparation for pre press and digital ready states.
Reporting into the Head of Multimedia Operations, you’ll be responsible for spearheading a variety of projects from smaller, quick turnaround to larger scale campaign rollouts.
Day to day in this role, you’ll get to:
- Work closely with our creative leadership & creative teams, producers and vendors to bring all cross-channel campaign elements to life
- Bring your experience across all design assets including digital, social, UX, print, branding and finished art
- Deliver finished art for a full range of print and digital formats
- Be responsible for typesetting and basic retouching
- Be responsible for large campaigns across multiple media deliverables, and bring the ability to decipher large Material Instructions spreadsheets
- Contribute to conceptual ideas from time to time as required
- Be responsible for taking and questioning briefs effectively from the account team
- Create design layouts and illustrations according to guidelines set out by the agency
- Create and modify fonts according to guidelines
- Identify style, technique, and medium best suited to organisation promotion strategies
- Be responsible for building out HTML files
- Craft best practice UX from wireframes to visual screen layouts
The person we’re looking for:
- Your #1 mission is to champion best-practice design craft across BAU and beyond, alongside our creative teams
- A self-starter and a creative thinker, someone who’s not afraid to explore unconventional design strategies
- A minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience as an integrated multimedia designer/finished artist working across large scale campaigns
- Fluency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator CC and Figma
- Understands responsive web design with an understanding of a mobile-first approach and cross device design (web/mobile)
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- Strong attention to detail
- Has the ability to work fast, work to deadlines and manage time effectively
Other desirable skills:
- Knowledge of graphic animation, video editing, photography and photography editing desirable but not essential
- An understanding and interest in web based animation techniques (from storyboarding to build) would also be a bonus
- Recent track record in producing effective digital marcomms including responsive and interactive campaign sites/landing pages and digital display (standard and rich interactive formats), with mobile app design a bonus
- Actively keeps up to date with the development and future direction of HCD and digital user interface design
