Job Summary
As our Performance Marketing Analyst, you are responsible for identifying key, actionable marketing insights and for providing strategic recommendations that drive business KPIs. You are an expert storyteller, always leaning on data visualizations to tell complex stories in an uncomplicated way. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to quickly comb through marketing, business, web and user experience data to uncover meaningful solutions. You are intimate with marketing technology and crave learning the latest innovative technology in marketing analytics to use where applicable. While you will work on projects autonomously, you effectively collaborate with experts in Operations, Product, UX, and Data Science teams to design breakthrough and innovative strategies.
*This is a hybrid position in Greenville, SC.*
This position reports to Director, Performance Marketing and is responsible for reviewing marketing data, financial reports, market data, marketing tactics, workflows and processes, and other information sources to analyze and identify advertising costs, exposing consumer behaviors, and exploring market opportunities. This includes statistical analysis of various data sources to support marketing projects, tests, pilot programs, marketing KPI tracking and goal-setting, and other functional support. Responsibilities will also include dynamic data visualization, financial and success metric planning, supporting ROI analysis, resource planning and budgeting, and strategic recommendations for future business model analyses.
Job Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, monitoring and maintenance of ongoing KPI metrics, reporting, visualizations, and dashboards to drive key business decisions aligned to OKRs, including marketing automation dashboards.
- Collect and identify information from internal and external datasets to help develop analysis relevant to our customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Ability to evaluate and create hypotheses from data collected to describe trends, reasons for occurrence and help predict future outcomes.
- Creation and analysis of audiences including first, second and third party segmentation.
- Analyze marketing tactic traffic patterns and performance data to identify trends, areas for optimization.
- Research data quality and potential issues with marketing data, along with or as the data steward for various marketing metrics as needed. Partner with data quality engineers and data governance team to implement appropriate solutions as needed. Report back to data trustee on potential findings requiring escalation.
- Support financial planning and budgeting process, translating financial goals into success metrics and planned targets. Identify seasonality and trends to assist with monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting.
- Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, based on research to drive growth, branding acquisition and retention efforts.
- Be responsible for monitoring and sharing key competitor marketing activities, applying consumer insights gained through audience research to inform and guide analytic insights.
- Expert experience with digital advertising. Engage in periodic cross functional sessions to share insights, make business recommendations, and provide feedback on current tactics related to analysis conducted incorporating best practices in data storytelling
- Work closely with Finance, Business Intelligence, Product, Collections, Customer Experience and Credit Risk to monitor key marketing areas of focus

Education/Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years in advertising media, media analytics and/or programmatic/search/social auction buying
- Experience in performance marketing data analysis at an agency or brand (omnichannel financial brand, a plus).
- Working knowledge of ad platforms and ad technology solutions

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products (Excel expert preferred), including PowerBI.
- Can collaborate via various means through email, chat, and voice efficiently and effectively while managing priorities and time appropriately.
- Can speak to technical and non-technical team members seamlessly.
- Knowledge of popular testing methodologies and types of analyses used in marketing measurement – test vs. control analysis, A/B, Multivariate, Break-even analysis, regression, cluster analysis, etc.
- Must have expert experience with marketing tools, including as Google Marketing Platform -Enterprise (GA4, Google Ads, GTM, GSC), DSP, CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of industry tools for dashboarding such as Tableau or other data visualization tool and understanding of data warehouses or cloud-based data storage like Snowflake and Sigma.
