About this role
Associate Creative Director (Art) must demonstrate strong conceptual thinking and the ability to develop big, breakthrough ideas across all mediums. They must have an in-depth knowledge in copy, art direction and design as well as take responsibility and set standards for the overall quality of the creative product.
Will be working on one of the world’s most valued consumer technology brands. Will be focused on developing a strong understanding of the client’s creative needs, process, and design priorities, while striving to develop new ways of working a shrinking in the digital design space. Level is an integrated digital agency within Publicis Groupe, with offices spread out across the United States. The company delivers integrated marketing and product development for global brands, and strives to deliver best in class results.

ResponsibilitiesJob Specific
- Supports and leads the creative team in brainstorming sessions and concept creation
- Assists in and helps to direct asset creation and delivers work they’re proud of
- Has a strong strategic sense—offering feedback and challenges to strengthen creative briefs
- Stays current on latest industry trendsMaintains high quality on creative deliverables
- Assists creative lead in research and presentation materials
- Leads the production of an idea while coaching more junior talent on how it’s done
- Presents work internally as well as to our clients.
Management/Leadership
- Completes self-reviews
- Inputs time consistently
- Participates and helps plan community-building events
- Receptive to constructive criticism
- Is proactive in finding ways to support the creative team
- Comfortable overseeing Junior and Senior Art Directors, as well as learning to offer collaborative feedback on copywriting within their projects
- Developing creative conceptsACDs develop design concepts and campaigns, and create prototypes to illustrate them. They also ensure the quality of the creative product.
- Managing projectsACDs oversee multiple projects and teams, and ensure projects meet budgets, timelines, and requirements. They also create timelines and make stylistic decisions.
- Leading teamsACDs manage and mentor teams of designers, writers, producers, and other creatives. They also help creative teams overcome obstacles.
- CommunicatingACDs present creative concepts to senior management, project teams, partners, and stakeholders. They also ensure efficient internal and external communication.
- CollaboratingACDs collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to define and communicate the creative direction. They also work with corporate partners, internal editorial teams, and executives.
- Representing the agencyACDs represent the agency's interest in interaction with clients, staff, outside vendors, and other contacts.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, or Advertising/Portfolio school experience
- 7 or more years art directing for an advertising or marketing agency
- Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates conceptual digital art direction, web design, presentation and brand work
- Strong awareness and understanding of the digital landscape, including online campaigns, mobile experiences, and social media landscape.
- Experience with mentoring more junior talent
Scope
- Art Director at the associate director level with about 7 or more years’ experience. Has strong creative muscles, a wonderful way with words (both written and spoken) and interesting opinions.

Compensation Range: <<$119,000>> - <<$137,000>> annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
