About Welthungerhilfe
Welthungerhilfe has a strong voice in Germany and at international level on the topic of Zero Hunger. We are involved in current debates on the climate crisis, humanitarian aid and the financing of development cooperation. We want to become even more audible and are looking for you to join our Communications team to manage political topics relating to development cooperation and global justice in the newsroom and place them in the media. You will also be responsible for Welthungerhilfe's X and LinkedIn channels.
Your Responsibilities
- As one of the most important tasks, you will be responsible for our two channels X and LinkedIn, ensure that we expand our profiles there and accompany the further development on these channels.
- As part of our newsroom, you will write appealing texts on development cooperation issues that are tailored to target groups, including press releases and briefings.
- You develop consistent and memorable messages for all channels on current political discussions together with your team.
- You coordinate messages and positioning with specialist advisors.
- You keep an eye on political developments in Germany and internationally and ensure that current developments and discussions are taken up in the newsroom.
Your Profile
- You have completed journalistic training (degree and/or traineeship) or other (media) training.
- You have extensive experience in communications, in the media or agency sector.
- With your confident writing style, you write press releases and statements and like to polish good messages.
- You are a political analyst and are interested in the political discussions in Germany.
- You have extensive experience in communicating on social media channels.
- You follow current debates on online channels and get actively involved.
- You enjoy working in a team and can write good texts even under time pressure.
- You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
