Our magical app teaches kids aged 4-7 foundational life skills through immersive play with initial focus on social-emotional and practical skills like Problem Solving, Growth Mindset, Financial Literacy, and Mindfulness. We are creating a new category we call Immersive Learning Media, designed to equip kids with essential life skills through immersive, story-driven experiences.
Role Overview
As Chief Growth Officer, you will be a core member of our senior leadership team with full ownership over growth, brand, and marketing strategy. The CGO at Nurture is responsible for driving the company's expansion and customer acquisition efforts through innovative growth strategies and targeted marketing campaigns. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, optimising existing channels, and ensuring alignment across teams to maximise brand presence and revenue growth. The Head of Growth and Marketing leverages data-driven insights to refine strategies and deliver impactful results that support the company's overall goals.
What You Will Do
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Lead the transition from closed beta to a full public launch, creating a phased, risk-based growth plan.
- Develop sustainable acquisition channels with an emphasis on product-led and community-driven growth, minimizing paid advertising.
- Build strategic partnerships with influencers and brands that amplify our mission and extend Nurture's reach.
Brand Leadership & Category Creation
- Own Nurture's brand and marketing strategy, establishing our position as the Life Skills category creator.
- Shape the Nurture Lifelong Learning Method's narrative, building brand trust through science-backed family learning.
- Craft strategies that resonate deeply with our audience, solidifying Nurture as a trusted, research-driven family resource.
Team Building & Culture
- Lead and grow the growth team, starting with a core group in place on your arrival.
- Hire and develop specialists in growth design and acquisition channels to scale the team.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with Nurture's mission and standards.
Data-Driven Growth & Experimentation
- Implement a rigorous experimentation framework across the user journey, optimizing acquisition, activation, monetization and retention.
- Lead analytics efforts to provide actionable insights, refining growth strategies based on KPIs and performance data.
P&L Oversight & Resource Allocation
- Manage growth budgeting, including influencer partnerships and strategic collaborations.
- Adopt a flexible spending approach in early growth stages while aligning with key financial objectives.
Essential Experience
Proven Growth Leadership
- 8+ years of growth experience in high-growth startups or fast-scaling environments, with a focus on product-led and community-driven growth strategies.
- Extensive experience in developing and scaling acquisition channels from zero, with an emphasis on sustainable, organic growth in consumer apps.
Entrepreneurial & Visionary Mindset
- A strategic, visionary leader with a passion for Nurture's mission and a high standard of product taste and quality.
- Proven track record of setting and achieving ambitious growth goals with high autonomy in a startup.
Brand & Community Building Expertise
- Deep understanding of brand positioning, with the ability to own marketing strategy and community development.
- Background in creating powerful brand narratives and managing influencer and brand partnerships that drive engagement.
Data-Driven Decision Maker
- Strong proficiency in data analytics and the ability to lead growth strategy with a data-first approach.
- Experience implementing KPIs, tracking performance, and optimizing spend for efficient growth.
