Position Summary
The Digital Strategist - Paid Search and Paid Social position is a core part of our team, ensuring the day-to-day runs smoothly. You will work closely alongside other strategists and managers, ensuring timely and accurate ad builds, launches, and reporting, while also assisting with ad hoc tasks, ensuring we always deliver best in class service to our clients. The role requires someone who takes responsibility, is solutions driven and has a keen eye for attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in paid media capabilities, including both paid search (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) and paid social (e.g., Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- Flawless campaign setup, execution of strategy, daily management of budgets, monitoring of goals and KPIs and conducting optimizations.
- Building and delivering reporting of key performance metrics and creating insights.
- Monitor and maintain promotional and creative calendars, ensuring alignment with ad specs and campaign objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on industry tools/tech solutions that would work for the client's overall media strategy.
- Prepare detailed results and actionable recommendations for clients, delivering insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Help implement and manage website tagging and conversion tracking for Google Ads, GA4, and Google Tag Manager.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of key performance metrics for online advertising campaigns.
- Collaborate with Directors and Marketing Managers to provide insights from Meta and Google Ads that aid in informing RFPs, decks, proposals, and planning recommendations.
- Pull and analyze data to produce high-quality, insight-driven deliverables with clear storytelling elements.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Three to five years experience in Paid Social and Paid Search; having been involved in the execution of Google Ads campaigns such as Search, Performance Max (PMax), Shopping, Display GDN, and Demand Gen, as well as Meta tactics such as UGC, Prospecting, Retargeting, Advantage+, and DPA.
- Solutions driven.
- Proficient with media platforms (for example Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Microsoft Ads, AMS, Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, Apple Search, etc.).
- Previous experience working within an advertising agency or with a media partner is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge and insights gained from research resources to real-time media plans.
- Loves handling large data sets and crunching numbers. Passion for data, emerging media, and AI/ technology.
- Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, assisting the team, self-development, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Post-secondary education (or equivalent work experience) - University graduate and/or advertising/marketing college degree preferred.
- Previous experience working on Shopify is a plus.
