About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software quality assurance, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for mentoring junior team members. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products by developing test strategies, identifying and implementing automation frameworks, building out test tools for the QA team, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Accomplish
- Test Planning and Strategy: Lead the development and refinement of test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all new features and releases.
- Adapt strategies to align with evolving project priorities and timelines, with a focus on improving test efficiency and reducing the defects.
- Automated Test Script Development: Architect and maintain an evolving suite of automated test scripts for critical product features, ensuring the automation framework is optimized for speed and accuracy.
- Drive automation coverage to exceed 70% across all supported platforms.
- Test Execution and Monitoring: Direct the execution of both manual and automated test cases, closely monitoring outcomes to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Implement monitoring tools to track test execution metrics and improve test cycle efficiency.
- Design and Develop Custom QA Tools: Innovate and build custom tools tailored to our team’s needs, such as automated reporting systems and environment management utilities, to eliminate manual bottlenecks and accelerate testing cycles.
- Mentorship and Support: Inspire and mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, fostering their professional growth and promoting best practices within the team.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Hinge Health Hybrid Model
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role with a track record of successfully leading QA projects.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar frameworks, with a proven ability to implement and scale automation strategies.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with a focus on both functional and non-functional testing.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to diagnose complex issues and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
- Extensive experience in cross-browser and mobile testing, utilizing cloud-based platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs for comprehensive coverage.
- Experience with testing frontend web and mobile applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
- Extensive experience with full-stack testing, including expertise in front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, and mobile platforms.
- Experience with tools like Postman for API testing or JMeter for performance testing is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in integrating QA processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and introduce new tools or processes that enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience in a fast-paced, agile development environment, with a proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git, with experience integrating automated tests into the development lifecycle.
- Experience in leading and mentoring QA teams, with a strong focus on developing junior talent and fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and understanding of e-commerce best practices.
- Experience in architecting and implementing test automation solutions and frameworks across front-end and back-end systems.
- Experience with release management processes.
Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000.
