THE JOB
The Integrated Media Planner plays a key role in the development and execution of media campaigns. They are the day-to-day steward on assigned brands that will lead, develop and maintain intimate knowledge of the clients’ media campaigns to ensure timely and accurate execution.
Responsibilities Include
Owns all aspects of media planning, including but not limited to:
Strategy Development
- Work with Supervisors and Associate Media Directors to identify and craft the overall strategy/approach for the media plan across all channels (National & Spot TV, Digital, Radio, OOH, Print)
- Present plan strategy to Supervisors/Associate Media Directors
- Utilize analytical tools (Comscore/Nielsen/IMS/MRI/Simmons/Kantar) to determine best media placements for the target audience
- Analyze competitors’ activity in the marketplace and potential impact to our campaigns
Implementation and Maintenance
- Create decks illustrating the strategies and media tactics of the campaign
- Accurately manage client budgets, investments and SOX compliant purchase authorization process
- Manage the Assistant Media Planner in the day to day duties and maintenance of the media plan including inventory shifts, delivery discrepancies and budget monitoring
- Review and analyze TV/Radio schedules/buys to ensure they are meeting the defined goals and overall plan strategy
- Assist the Account Management team with analyzing the digital campaign reports, pointing out insights and optimization recommendations
- Accurately finalize all client-facing documents
Inter-departmental Communication
- Work with activation (Broadcast, OOH/Print) and traffic teams (TV/Digital) to ensure accuracy, consistent execution and seamless client service
Management Responsibilities And Skills Include The Following

- Teach media fundamentals and planning process
- Delegate work and aid in prioritizing tasks
- Encourage new thinking and knowledge growth
- Manage project timelines and produce accurate and timely deliverables
- Communicate effectively with team members of all levels
- Excel in a fast-paced environment while adapting to the evolving needs of the client
- Develop POVs as needed
- Proactively monitor media landscape and identify relevant trends pertinent to the client
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with the vendor community
YOU

- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years previous media experience
- Previous integrated TV + Digital media experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and communicate clearly when participating in internal and client-facing meetings
- Strong presentation, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving and critical thinking
- Ability to be agile and adaptable within a quick turnaround business environment
- Appreciation of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint/Keynote
- Knowledge of Comscore, Doubleclick, Kantar, MRI/Simmons, Nielsen, Prisma, and R/F tools
This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY.
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.
Compensation Range
$60,000—$69,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office.
The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number of required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
