Job Summary
This is an entry-level position where the candidate will assist in the stewardship of buys (video & audio) across multiple media outlets and accounts.
The role of the Assistant, Media Investment & Activation is to help activate and maintain broadcast buys that the team has purchased for our clients.
Under leadership of the Buyer, Supervisor and Director the candidate will begin to understand the media landscape and why clients purchase commercial space across different media types based on their consumer base, budget, goals and objectives.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- 75% - Media Schedule and data management
- 15% - Stewardship/Invoice discrepancies
- 10% - Training & Development
- Input/verify bookings
- Campaign (video & audio) maintenance: seasonal renegotiations, makegoods etc.
- Help to resolve media billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively across media outlets and with sales representatives
- Gather avails, submissions and send schedules to media outlets
- Work across brand planning & other Horizon teams to ensure best results for clients
- Attend and participate in vendor and internal meetings, where applicable
- Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies that affect the buying discipline

- Internship experience in marketing or media is considered as asset
