OverviewWho we’re looking for
You are the undisputed champion of creative ideas and an inspirational coach of your team of (Associate) Creative Directors. As an Executive Creative Director, you are responsible for all creative output of Boomerang Agency. Next to that, you’ll function as a creative inspirator and help teams creatively to meet exceptional standards. You will do this by working closely with the concerned CD of that team and helping out with strategies, big ideas, newsworthy activations, social content, video concepts, dynamic campaigns and more. All connecting to a strong insightful idea, mainly on high profile international clients, like PepsiCo, Barilla, Nivea, Heineken, Albert Heijn and many more.
Goal of the position
As an Executive Creative Director, you are the creative shot caller (together with the Creative Leadership Team) on all projects and clients within the agency and the manager of several (Associate) Creative Directors. You will inspire and guide your team of CD’s into the right direction, agency-wise and brand-wise. You will report to Boomerang’s CCO.
ResponsibilitiesWhat will you be doing?
-Creativity
- Think of and create original and effective (award-winning) social concepts, digital activations and campaigns, alongside a CD and a creative team;
- Make sure the ideas are fueled by data, insights and connected to social strategy;
- Monitor, adjust and evaluate the creative process;
- Translate strategies into creative concepts;
- Come up with pro-active ideas for both existing clients in your team and non-existing clients outside of your team;
- Oversee the process of visualizing a concept to a high-quality result (Art Direction);
- Steer the agency towards creative excellence.
- Team leadership
- Oversee client-teams on a creative level;
- Make sure the right people, clients and projects are in the teams;
- Work together closely with strategy, project, studio and account within any team;
- Think along with the Creative Directors in order to make other ideas stronger and better, or turn them down in a constructive way;
- Lead a pitch-process within any team.
- Client
- High level sparring and inspirational partner for clients (CMO-level);
- Translate the clients’ wishes in terms of reach, effect and stated goals into a concise proposal;
- Escalation level for clients.
- Manager
- Stimulate (Associate) Creative Directors to further develop their skills and ambitions and facilitate this, for example, by offering courses and training;
- Stimulate CD’s to create award-winning work;
- Conversation partner for problems within the team (ex- or internal);
- Participate in job interviews;
- Have in-between evaluations (coffee meetings);
- Have performance and appraisal interviews;
- Stay in close contact with the Management Team regarding vacancies and your team;
- Onboarding new hires;
- Sickness absence management.
- Close connected to MT and CCO
- Creative leadership / management Boomerang Agency (overall creative direction) at agency level;
- Strategic vision on creativity and the agency itself;
- Gatekeeper of overall creative quality (with Creative Leadership Team);
- Create structure within procedures and processes;
- Align processes and troubleshooting with management (managers other departments);
- Seek creative opportunities for existing clients and new clients;
- Supervise (mental) health of team members and all other staff.
