OverviewGeneral Purpose of the Position:
Manage the administration of employee Health and Welfare Benefits for multiple Business Units. Supervise staff of four (4) Benefit Administrators.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide white glove service to all locations on employee inquires to ensure expedient and accurate resolution.
- Coordinate and conduct employee information sessions for Business Units and during Open Enrollment to educate on new and existing benefits.
- Support and provide guidance to staff of Benefit Administrators in their daily functions.
- Oversee all aspects of the Benefit Administrators’ job functions including new hire orientation, STD, LTD, terminations, Cobra and Retirees.
- Work closely with Third Party Administrators to provide them with required information as necessary.
- Assist the Vice President, Benefits in planning and developing Health and Welfare plans.
- Coordinate Employee Assistance Program seminars with Human Resource Directors.
- Prepare and calculate monthly financials to charge back Leo Burnett for retiree population.
- Review and edit benefit communications posted to website and sent to employee population.
- Approve all manual updates to employee payroll deductions including start up and back charges.
- Continually assess benefit group’s responsibility to ensure that procedures flow in a timely and cost efficient manner.
- Responsible for HIPAA compliance.
- Additional duties can be assigned as required.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6-10 years’ experience in Benefits and Leave Administration.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Welfare Plans and Leave Administration.
- Detail oriented with advanced written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to continually motivate and empower team.
