OverviewWhat will you be doing?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paid Search Lead to join our dynamic team, focusing on our key client. This pivotal role holds strategic importance as search and app channels drive the largest proportion of our client's online transactions.
As the Paid Search Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and executing innovative search strategies that align with our clients business objectives, ensuring sustained growth and market leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen across Search & App, enabling them to navigate complex digital landscapes and seamlessly integrate search strategies with broader digital marketing efforts.
- Utilising technical expertise to enhance search and app campaign effectiveness, optimising performance metrics, and driving significant ROI.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to communicate search strategies and outcomes effectively, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Leading a team of search experts, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure excellent campaign management and continuous optimisation.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive digital strategy by working closely with Social and Programmatic Leads, ensuring alignment and cohesion across all digital channels.
- Evaluating and adopting the latest search trends and technologies to keep Western Union at the forefront of industry innovations.

ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a strong background in leading direct response Performance Media activity, either from an activation, planning, client servicing or inhouse background.
You will be able be comfortable in formulating Paid Search strategy and feel comfortable presenting it to high-level audiences, getting buy-in for new ideas and articulating narrative based on data.
You will be adept at leading and inspiring a team of specialists, ensuring they are operationally sound and delivering best in class work.
QualificationsWhat are we looking for?
- Extensive prior experience in performance media with a background in Paid Search
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Aptitude in maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Exemplary track record in managing activation excellence + delivering strategic workstreams
- Ability to deliver a high standard of work with strong attention to detail within an agreed deadline
- Experience in managing members of a team and delegating tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience delivering automated solutions to manual tasks to improve account efficiency
- Line management experience and delivery of appraisals
- Experience in driving innovation through Test & Learn
