OverviewGENERAL FUNCTION:
- Entry level position
- Involves training on current media system (Mediaocean Spectra O|X) and basic Traffic procedures.
- Traffic Associates will receive training from Traffic Supervisors until they are able to manage duties on assigned clients.
- Traffic Associates act as liaisons between planning, buying and creative partners to ensure media plans are executed with the appropriate creative messages.
- Reports to Traffic Supervisor
ResponsibilitiesGENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive in-depth training to obtain working knowledge of basic Agency and Traffic procedures, media systems, Traffic terminology, and business goals based on client(s) they are assigned to
- Maintain positive, professional attitude and good working relationships with peers, team counter parts, and vendors
- Attain ability to accurately meet all requirements necessary to execute or fulfill client approved media plans
- Demonstrate good skills in written, verbal, and interpersonal communications, diligently attend to details, follow-through on all business requests, and understand sense of urgency
- Must appropriately communicate with and understand the functions of internal and external partners (i.e. creative agencies, vendors, etc.)
Broadcast Traffic Associate will work toward fulfilling the below responsibilities which will elevate them to the next level – Senior Associate
- Routinely reviews buy specifications provided by media teams and fully understands client expectations
- Partners with Client creative agencies for the exchange of information regarding scheduling and shipment of materials to vendors
- Utilizes proprietary media system to view commercial units loaded by media teams under specific client estimates and issues traffic instructions (once approved by Traffic Supervisor) via media system, directly to broadcast vendors, providing information regarding correct creative messaging to be aired during specific programming
- Assist other traffic team members in managing commercial duplication and shipment of creative assets to broadcast vendors. May involve providing production estimates for client submission and approval, submitting purchase orders to commercial duplication facility, and reconciling invoices.
- Confirms delivery of traffic instructions and commercial materials
- Provides media usage to creative agencies for commercial talent payment schedules
- Maintains system records with commercial data necessary for media and financial purposes
- May be required to assist Reconciliation Teams during vendor invoice reconciliation process
- Anticipate and troubleshoot problems, coordinate simultaneous plans, oversee scheduling, and develop solutions to workflow delays
Qualifications- 0 to 1 years’ experience in similar field or with Mediaocean system (Spectra O|X) a plus
- Basic knowledge of process management and workflow (Ideally in media or financial industries)
- Entry level experience working within a web-based system/platform to facilitate a process related to data entry (Ideally in media or financial industries)
- Professional attitude, team player and self-motivated
- Good verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and ability to anticipate and troubleshoot problems
- Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- College degree or equivalent experience

Compensation Range: $39,710 - $57,615 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
