OverviewThe Associate Director, Audience Strategy provides data-driven CRM leadership for our client’s customer acquisition, loyalty and retention efforts.
This role is responsible for CRM strategy and program definition as well as stewarding activation across direct-to-consumer communication channels. In addition, this role is expected to support alignment across addressable paid and owned experiences.
The Associate Director specializes in customer experience and serves as the subject matter expert on customer strategies, channel recommendations, content strategy, industry trends, service design, personalization and targeting to build meaningful interactions for brands. They will be responsible for leading and executing Audience & CRM strategy projects that drive profitable growth for our clients.
Responsibilities- Responsible for leading audience and channel strategy for client’s owned channels (Email/Push Notifications/CRM)
- Create personalized customer experiences across email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messages, and other CRM channels to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction
- Design and optimize customer journeys, ensuring that each touchpoint is personalized, relevant, and impactful based on audience data and insights
- Initiate, manage and lead the formation of deliverables such as: personas, customer journeys, communication architectures, interactive/connection/touch-point plans, campaign plans, program strategies, personalization strategies, etc.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Data & Analytics and Creative teams to develop message strategy, personalization, test plans, optimizations, etc.
- Develop channel and personalization strategies for new product launches and promotional campaigns
- Monitor audience performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, etc.) and use data to continuously refine targeting strategies, segmentation criteria, and campaign effectiveness.
- Lead the development and execution of A/B tests and other experiments to improve audience targeting, personalization, and engagement strategies.
- Coordinate campaign deployments and workflows across our clients, 3rd party vendors and internal marketing, analytics, and planning teams
- Identify opportunities to enhance cross-channel campaigns
Qualifications- 7+ years of demonstrated excellence in CRM, direct marketing or customer engagement strategy within consulting or agency environments
- Data-driven strategist with emphasis in Audience Segmentation, Personalization, CRM and Marketing Automation
- Solid understanding of strategic planning best practices and how to use this knowledge to develop integrated cross-channel programs
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, vision, and leadership to help facilitate change within a team and client’s organization
- Deep experience with all addressable/owned channels including email, push, SMS, web, direct mail, and integrating with media and social teams
- Insight development from primary and secondary research, plus online communities, ethnography, traditional and web-based focus groups, social media monitoring, digital audits and digital behavioral data, and online/offline media measurement tools.
- Experience working with MarTech platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Braze, Epsilon and more
- Ability to develop strong client relationships and trust based on deep immersion into the client’s business

Compensation Range: $98,500 - $141,000/year. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
