Job Description
The Manager, Media Activation (Paid Social/Publisher Direct Buying), is responsible for paid campaign planning, strategy, execution, implementation, and delivery to meet client objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing both paid social media campaigns as well as publisher direct media buys. While expertise in both areas is preferred, we encourage applicants who have a background in one of these fields and are enthusiastic about expanding their expertise to encompass both to apply.
You'll be the day-to-day partner to planning and account teams for your media discipline(s) and will leverage your knowledge of paid media to support strategy development and delivery. You will contribute in activating omni-channel, digital first marketing and advertising campaigns for our clients.
This role can be remote in the US or in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston, or Chicago.
What You'll Do
- Act as day-to-day social media support across several healthcare accounts, but part of an integrated team; responsible for the execution of paid media campaign planning, setup, creation, optimization and management
- Leverage your knowledge of the healthcare media landscape to manage the RFP/RFI process with vendors
- Build close partnerships with media partners and have experience with direct buying processes (IOs, tags, custom contracts etc.)
- Provide proactive recommendations on campaign results, industry trends and innovation, and competitive pressures to keep clients informed and manage programs upon best practices of programmatic media
- Support tactical planning and in-platform execution in a timely fashion. Handle requests promptly to keep campaign activation and execution agile, nimble and fast
- Manage multiple client engagements of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment, within the health/wellness/pharma industry and be part of an internal ecosystem that provides clients with digital expertise and innovation
- Demonstrate a passion for healthcare, digital and communications to help spot opportunities for the client to achieve greater success for their business and brand, reach a broader audience and use all the tools at their disposal

- A builder – who can see where the puck needs to go, and lay the framework for implementation, guiding delivery and client expectations too - looks beyond the foundation to connect dots for program optimization
- A rising omnichannel guru – who has formed a good understanding of performance marketing, and wants to continue to delve deeper into managing all media practices (paid search, OLV/CTV, display, social, audio) and who understands personalization and stays ahead of trends and tech within digital industry
- Someone who understands how to offset the pressure associated with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times, and remain a solutions-oriented partner
- You don't wait for someone else to fix things. You think strategically about problems and offer recommendations to relevant parties as to how best avoid setbacks and snags
- Ability to execute client deliverables with a sense of urgency and client service orientation
- An excellent communicator - both written and verbal including ability to communicate with managers and clients when deadlines will not be met, or other challenges arise
What You Should Have
- 1-3 years of experience managing paid social media as a hands-on campaign manager
- 1-3 years of experience in negotiating and managing publisher direct buys and managed service campaigns in partnership with a variety of media vendors and publishers.
- Strong knowledge of platforms and data used to support and measure overall campaign performance
- Proficiency with social media buying platforms: Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc. Meta Blueprint and Google Certifications are a plus
- An in-depth understanding of the functionality and strategies behind social media driven campaigns and best practices of all major social platforms
- Exceptional project management skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets
- Ability to work well under pressure and to build relationships with internal teams
- Work related diversity, equity and inclusion involvement a plus
- Pharma/healthcare industry experience preferred, but not required
Pay Range
$68,000.00-80,000.00
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Working Approach
Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have offices in cities with many employees and clients – New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Manchester, UK and London, UK – that serve as hubs where and when they need us, and we encourage employees who live less than a 45-minute commute of a Real Chemistry office to go in at least two days per week.
