The Role
Reporting to the VP, Brand Strategy, the Associate Media Director will apply critical and creative thinking beyond the scope of media solutions including translating expectations into deliverables and communicating those deliverables across departments. Associate Directors on the team must have a strong comprehension and application of marketing objectives and solutions through writing and presenting strategic, executive-level documents. Managing communication and balancing agency relationships across departments is also critical.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Strong comprehension and application of marketing objectives and strategy
- Excellent understanding of Digital media planning and buying
- Innovate existing media process to be more efficient and more innovative
- Ability to generate and evolve ideas proposed internally and by media partners
- Manage the development, writing, present, and execute media recommendations and POVs
- Working with the internal teams to develop and utilize intuitive, thoughtful, helpful performance analysis and metrics
- Ability to collaborate and generate ideas
- Have an intimate knowledge of the client's brand and product details
- Be proactive: Show interest in constantly learning and growing
- Collaborate effectively in cross-team settings, including other departments such as creative, production, account management, analytics, strategy, and project management
- Take the lead on working with Analytics and Investment teams
- Manage workflow and process procedures are followed and manage expectations accordingly
- Responsible for coaching, guidance, inspirational leadership, and performance management of all direct reports
- Organizational skills to manage and prioritize team daily workflow
- Leading by example, finding solutions, and striving for excellence in all areas
- Able to direct team and foster an environment for growth and learning
- Ensure that deadlines are met, including managing expectations internally
- Promote an open and supportive working environment where opinions, views, and ideas are welcome and shared
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of media research tools (IMS, MRI, Nielsen, ComScore, Simmons, etc.) and ability to analyze syndicated research
- Ability to prioritize large volume of own work as well as manage team deliverables and provide feedback in a timely fashion
- Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate with internal managers and clients
- Possesses a solid and proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks flexibly and communicate priorities to direct reports
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to follow through
- Extremely detail-oriented and precise
- Proven ability to maintain strong internal, external, and client relationships
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 years of experience in Media Strategy or Planning
- 2+ years of mentoring and developing staff
Salary
$110,000 - $115,000 a year
Salary And Benefits
Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a "Do Good Day," and unlimited PTO.
In-Office Work Schedule
This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days in-office per week.
