About The Role
We are looking for a driven, results-oriented individual to join our team as a Media Planner. Media Planners are responsible for the development and tactical implementation of multi-channel media campaigns (traditional/digital), including strategic rationale for media plan options, media channel usage and plan recommendations. Planners must manage work to budget, meet deadlines, and exceed client satisfaction. Media Planners maintain strong relationships with clients and recommend strategic optimizations that are consistent with the brands overall marketing objectives. Experience across B2B and B2C clients a strong preference. You must be a confident self-starter, team player and innovative problem-solver and be able to manage multiple projects at once. This role requires you to be highly attentive to detail and resourceful, with the ability to work well under pressure. You must also be effective at communicating with internal team members as well as clients. Our ideal candidate will have a great work ethic, experience in both demand generation and lead generation campaigns and a hunger for responsibility and learning.
Your Day to Day
- Develop and execute strategic, traditional, and digital media plans for clients
- Oversee and supervise deliverables throughout the campaign life cycle, from research to planning to execution, tracking and optimization
- Supervise/Manage all media reconciliation and billing tasks for your accounts
- Work closely with client engagement leads, project management and creative department for operational efficiency
- Develops presentation materials for client review and adapts/finalizes based on feedback
- Negotiate with media providers on behalf of clients
- Works with Analytics and Ad Ops team for any tagging/reporting requirements
- Assists with campaign reporting activities based on agreed upon cadence
- Draws critical analysis from data and makes specific recommendations to optimize and improve campaign performance
- Supports the needs of direct manager and Associate Director
What You Bring
- Minimum two years' experience in media planning with at least one year of digital experience
- Strong understanding of all forms of media planning, including demand generation, lead generation and branding
- Experience with digital planning and research tools (MRI, Kantar, Commspoint, etc.)
- Experience with digital campaign activation required (trafficking sheets, URL tracking setup, etc.)
- Experience with media buying platforms a plus (MediaOcean, Strata, Nexelus, etc.)
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills with extreme attention to detail
- Experience in managing digital campaigns; strong analytical skills and understanding of KPI's for digital media
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and work effectively within a fast-paced agency environment
- Must be assertive, highly motivated and have strong communications skills
- Must have client-facing skills, including preparing and delivering presentations
- Proficient in Excel/PowerPoint
- Ability to work as part of a team, share ideas and accept constructive feedback
- Must be goal-oriented and exhibit a high level of professionalism
- Bachelor's degree required degree or equivalent in experience including media planning and buying experience in an agency setting
Location and Salary
Location: Atlanta, Austin, or Chicago - Candidate must be within commuting distance and able to be in office 3+ days per week
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 USD
