Job Description
TextNow is looking for a driven, creative, and analytical Growth Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team to support paid user acquisition efforts. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of UA, across various ad networks to help deploy advertising and acquire more customers for TextNow. This role will own strategy, execution, and reporting across multiple paid media channels.
The ideal candidate is someone with a deep background in mobile app user acquisition across at least one acquisition type (paid search, paid social, programmatic, etc) and is eager to expand their tool box.
What You'll Do
- Own media buying, testing, and optimization efforts across a set of paid channels
- Responsible for accurate and timely execution of media campaigns
- Produce and report on metrics and KPIs related to CPMs, CTRs, CPIs, LTV:CAC, etc.
- Stay up to date on Social/SEM/PPC/paid UA industry trends and make recommendations that apply to TextNow
- Own campaign analysis and testing across different sub functions of digital advertising (creative, audience, incrementality, landing page performance, spend, etc.) to optimize performance
- Use digital analytics tools (Ad platforms, MMP, Tableau) as well as Excel to extract insights and make informed decisions for our paid campaigns
- Responsible for accuracy of reporting on paid media campaigns, including aggregating and QA'ing data from multiple sources
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal counterparts in business analytics, brand marketing, data science, etc. and external counterparts at agencies and ad platforms
Who You Are
- 3-5+ years experience with at least one acquisition channel and a desire to learn others
- Excellent communication skills
- Appetite for growth in paid advertising vertical and a willingness to learn through active participation
- Ability to transform complex facts, figures, and numbers into plain language that can be easily understood
- Familiarity with the mobile app ecosystem: measurement challenges, app stores, MMPs, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience A/B testing: ideation, launching, analyzing, and reporting insights
- Capacity to work with technical systems and teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel: You're a master with data analysis, and have an exceptional ability to draw key insights from both quantitative and qualitative data
- You have a "get things done" mentality; you can dissect complex problems, identify solutions, and drive these solutions to completion with a high degree of autonomy
- You are creative and can see how the pieces of a complex problem fit together; you feel comfortable challenging assumptions when they are not well-based
- You like to build - you enjoy the process of going from problem to solution regardless of the medium
- You are passionate about deeply understanding our product and customers' needs to generate meaningful campaigns that reach our customers at the right time with the right message
- You have a team-first mentality and communication skills that allow you to influence others at all levels and across all functions within the organization to rally behind shared business goals
