Job Overview
We are looking for a Sales & Growth Manager or Director to help accelerate the growth of our Japan office. Our Growth Monk will build relationships and find new clients that need support with Digital Content Creation, AI-Powered Digital Production, Digital Campaigns, Social & Influencer content.
You'll play a key role in establishing Media.Monks as an award-winning creative experience agency with new clients in Japan.
As an ideal candidate, you should have demonstrated success in a measured & commission-driven compensation model, with a history of achieving lead conversion and revenue targets.

Role & Responsibilities
- Specialize in setting up, stewarding and scaling successful partnerships for digital campaigns, digital content, Social and influencer campaigns.
- Develop new business opportunities by reaching out to the right people, and by being the right person when clients reach out to us.
- Act as the initial bridge between Media.Monks and new business leads, introducing our company and capabilities alongside an amazing collection of award-winning cases.
- Identify areas of new opportunity and design strategies and market leadership to expand within the account.
- Provide qualified leads with inspiration and information needed to consider Media.Monks as the best Creative Agency partner for their next project.
- Set up meetings and act alongside in-house creatives and producers to work towards a successful sign-off, turning contacts into contracts.
- Develop business for key accounts, maintain a contacts list of relevant clients, and update SalesForce in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Manage partnerships with advertising and industry festivals, award shows and other relevant events to increase awareness for Media.Monks and engage in speaking and networking opportunities.
- Act as a strategic partner throughout the process who understands clients' brand and business needs, developing an ongoing roadmap for continued success.
- Deliver against monthly and annual targets, help to grow business accounts into a long-term success for all parties.
- Be based in the Tokyo office on a full-time basis.
Requirements
- Mid to senior level Sales Developer with at least 5 years of strong region & global network, preferably in digital, production and/or agency.
- Understanding of objectives of companies in Japan & APAC region and the emerging digital ecosystem in Asia.
- Experience leading the creation of proposals for complex deals and projects.
- Ability to effectively manage the start of important relationships, understand the objectives of global brands and media organizations, and convince clients of our capabilities.
- Fluent English & Japanese with highest professional level.
- Strong presentation skills to represent Media.Monks by showcasing cases, capabilities and culture.
- Passion for technology and innovation markets, adept at following trends and speaking about their impact on companies and products.
- Experience leading teams to create proposals with solutions from technical and commercial perspectives.
- Enthusiasm for new (production) technologies and digital (business) trends.
