Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Business Analytics leads a team of highly skilled and focused individuals who drive our business forward by proactively analyzing our business information data. Business Analysts are key contributors to company decision making processes and take on leader roles to continually improve our operational performance and attain our strategic objectives. The Senior Manager works across the company to build strong relationships, understand business needs, develop strategic analytics goals, and rallies their team mates to accomplish the set objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, peers, and team members to create a strong working foundation for your and your team's long-term success
- Develop a projects roadmap for the team by regularly partnering with business stakeholders to understand their needs
- Create well-crafted and roles appropriate assignments for analysts, set clear expectations, support team members, and deliver on the Analytics promise of timely and actional insights to the company
- Provide active feedback and encouragement to team members to ensure alignment and continuous growth
- Lean on your technical and problem-solving skills to be hands-on alongside the business analysts to solve complex analytics problems
- Mentor business analysts to develops their skills, capabilities, and create avenues for them to achieve their career aspirations at CDM and beyond
- Be a strategic partner with the leadership team to ensure team alignment with business's most urgent and important needs
- Continually investigate ways to improve team efficiency and productivity
- Pull and create reports necessary to carry out the functions of the team and for senior leadership, as requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment
- Communicate and present frequently to senior leaders and embody the culture and mission of the company
- Lead and mentor the team on performance, production and day-to-day tasks
- Define solution scope and objectives for requests based on user needs and how they impact business processes
- Prioritize analytic requests and assign work based on capacity and urgency
- Devise or modify reporting tools to solve business problems
- Analyze performance data for new project initiatives
- Troubleshoot and propose solutions to business problems
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working with databases, advanced SQL scripts, developing reports, and telling data backed statistically sound business stories in senior analytics roles
- 5+ years of people management and business intelligence leadership experience
- Proficiency in visualization and data manipulation softwares like Tableau, power BI or MicroStrategy, preferably Microsoft Power BI
- Experience working with a wide array of softwares including the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Jira, and Gitlab
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or applied statistics
Preferred Qualification
- MBA, STEM Master's Degree, or Master's in Applied Statistics
- Certification in Data or Business Analytics
Compensation and Benefits
$150,000 - $190,000 a year
This role is eligible for an annual bonus as well as medical benefits and 401K plan.

Days on site: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
