About the Opportunity
NP Digital is seeking an energetic, data-driven, and innovative Media Planner with experience negotiating media buys directly with vendor partners to join our Paid Media team. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of media planning as well as direct media buying, managing campaigns of over $100k per month. You should thrive on developing multi-channel media recommendations, meeting with vendors, negotiating media buys, and ensuring campaigns are executed as planned. Equally as important to your negotiation and campaign management skills is your ability to communicate your analysis and recommendations to clients and colleagues alike.

This position is based out of Canada. Applicants must reside and be authorized to work in Canada.
About the Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, Paid Media Strategy, the Media Planner will be responsible for the strategic approach and campaign delivery to meet clients' goals and KPIs driving overall success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop multi-channel paid media recommendations based on client objectives
- Create and maintain flowcharts, media budgets, media authorizations, and vendor insertion orders
- Submit request for proposals to potential media partners to evaluate for client campaigns aligned with client objectives and KPIs
- Negotiate and oversee paid media campaigns with strategic media vendor and Account-Based Marketing partners
- Meet with potential media partners to understand their tactical and targeting capabilities
- Work with media vendors for tracking and pixel implementation alongside NPD's Data, Analytics & Insights team
- Traffic ad creative through third-party ad server (CM360)
- Supervise campaign performance executed by external media partners, potentially meeting with key partners on weekly or monthly cadence
- Monitor ad verification, brand safety, and viewability to ensure campaigns are being executed by partners as defined
- Reconcile monthly vendor invoicing to ensure it aligns with third-party ad metrics
- Present campaign performance and insights to clients
- Build and foster positive relationships with media partners on behalf of NP Digital
About You
- 4+ years in media planning and buying across paid search, social, programmatic, and direct buys
- Ability to negotiate direct media buys with vendor partners to lower rates and incorporate added value opportunities for clients
- Account-Based Marketing media partner knowledge and management preferred
- Experience managing media budgets ranging from $100K to $500K+ in monthly ad spend
- Both B2B and B2C client experience preferred across awareness, consideration, and action campaign objectives
- Experience with syndicated data tools for audience analysis a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and successful relationships with media partners
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize time and workload efficiently across clients and projects
- Ability to analyze data to develop campaign performance insights for client reporting
- Knowledge of media attribution to demonstrate how upper funnel tactics contribute to campaign performance
- Campaign Manager 360 platform experience preferred
