Job Summary:
The Vendors and Contracts Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements. This role is key to optimizing vendor performance, reducing costs, and ensuring that all contracts meet the company’s standards and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze vendors' contracts, to make recommendations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all vendor agreements, pricing, and contract renewals.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Ops, finance, IT, Legal) to understand vendor needs and ensure contract terms align with business objectives.
- Monitor vendor performance, track key metrics, and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, legal requirements, and financial regulations in vendor contracts.
- Identify and help mitigate potential risks associated with vendor agreements and relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure smooth business operations.
- Assist in resolving any disputes or issues with vendors in a timely manner.
- Other compliance-related responsibilities may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in legal, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or a combination of 2+ yr. relevant experience and education (Final year Student in university) may also be acceptable.
- 1-2 years of experience in vendor management, contract analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to analyze vendor performance, cost savings, and other contract-related metrics.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify risks and opportunities within contracts.
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of compliance rules and regulations, vendor management, or third-party risk management is a big plus.
- Advanced English
Highly desirable:
- Familiarity with platforms like DocuSign, or CongaSign or other CLM tools to manage the entire contract process efficiently.
- Knowledge of Procurement Processes: Understanding of procurement principles, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship management.
- Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance to ensure all vendor agreements meet legal standards.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in managing cross-functional projects, particularly related to vendor performance and contract execution.
- Big plus- Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM).
- Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience working with vendors in the finance/BPO sector and understanding of relevant industry regulations.
- Experience with Risk Management: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks in vendor contracts.
