THE ROLE
The Director of Kepler’s Amazon Endemic business unit oversees all aspects of the team’s development, including innovation and consistency in premium service offerings, strategic partner development, building and managing a high-performing team, and providing broader retail thought leadership across Kepler’s endemic enterprise clients.
The Director will serve as a subject matter expert in all matters related to Amazon’s advertising, SEO, and retail operations ecosystem, and partner where needed with Kepler’s Center of Excellence Leads (Video, Social, Programmatic, Search, Planning, Influencer/Creator, and Retail Media).
What You Will Do:
- Oversee All Operations: services and technology and partnerships, within the Amazon Unit at Kepler
- Amazon Partnership development: Manage and design the strategy to grow partnerships and relationships with strategic personnel at Amazon, including AEs, pod leads, department heads, SMEs
- Amazon 3P Partner Development: evaluate 3rd party technologies and services to complement existing partner set within Kepler
- Amazon Services: Further refine the next phase of Kepler’s managed and self-service licensing client solutions; SOW, engagement models, and pricing development
- Retail operations: Seller/Vendor Central support, order fulfillment expertise, etc
- Amazon SEO: listing optimization, store design, A+ content best practices
- Ads on & off Amazon (e.g. social commerce, Connected TV)
- Advanced measurement
- Amazon Marketing Cloud: segmentation, activation, insights
- Team Development: Lead a growing team; provide strategic and technical training, and career guidance. Evolve the structure of the team as it grows.
- Sales & Marketing: Pitch and onboard new Amazon clients. Evolve and refine the narrative and sales positioning for market need/fit. Co-develop marketing and sales materials.
- Product Consulting: Leverage your expertise to inform future Kepler tech products (Gen AI/Predictive AI within Kip, the Kepler Intelligence Platform) and innovative solutions, including co-builds with Amazon and 3P partners
- Thought Leadership:
- Internal: Serve as an internal SME to Kepler teams looking to develop an improved Amazon strategy or engage with Amazon third-party retail media partners (Pacvue, Skai, etc)
- External: Thoughtfully guide senior clients with strategic, holistic strategy and data-backed insights
- Additional retail media responsibilities as required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience Onboarding Brands to Amazon: registering, fulfillment/3rd party logistics, Seller/Vendor Central management, forecasting, brand protection, Amazon SEO within listings/stores (text, images, video best practices for ads and A+ content), etc.
- Hands-On Amazon Ads Experience: 5+ years of hands-on-keys experience in Amazon Ads (Amazon Search/Sponsored Ads) and Amazon DSP. Deep understanding of holistic, full-funnel Amazon growth strategy and execution, across endemic verticals/categories.
- 3P Retail Media Platform Experience: Comfort using, co-building solutions, and evaluating retail media tools (Pacvue, Skai, CommerceIQ, Perpetua/Flywheel, Stackline, Quartile, Trellis, etc.)
- 5-10+ years of Experience in Digital Advertising: omni-channel experience in account management, ad optimization, marketing strategy/consulting, or brand management
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading cross-functional teams, both directly and indirectly
- Strategic & Consultative: Excellent listening and communication skills with a strong ability to create and build relationships at a senior level.
- Entrepreneurial/Growth Mindset: Ability to apply innovative thinking to solve complex client marketing challenges and adapt to changing environments quickly
- Ability to “do what it takes” and manage a complex workload that spans program execution, analysis, and client communications
- Ability to contribute to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, collaborative team environment. Comfort with ambiguity and an excitement to break through with clarity.
- Passion for growing a burgeoning retail media business with Kepler, one of the original Amazon Advanced Sales Partners.
Travel: Some US travel, rare international travel possible

Total Compensation:
- Base Salary: $140,000 - $173,000
- Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 10% ($14,000 - $17,300)
- Target Total Cash: $154,000 - $190,300
