OverviewThe VP, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is responsible for championing, developing, executing, and overseeing DEI strategies and programming for two of Publicis Media’s agencies, Spark Foundry and Publicis Health Media. The VP, DEI will partner with CEOs, Executive Teams, Human Resources, and Publicis Groupe’s centralized Talent, Engagement, & Inclusion Practice to formalize a vision and strategic plan that fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within their organizations. The VP, DEI serves as the organizational leader and spokesperson with their assigned organizations to drive the development, implementation and integration of best practices, resources, and trends to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural proficiency. There are Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role that will be used to measure the agencies’ DEI evolution.
Responsibilities- Evaluate current DEI strategy for Spark Foundry and Publicis Health Media based on our data and develop an approach for evolution that focuses on driving greater impact, that can be reflected in the data as well.
- Create annual business plans and strategies that outline recruiting, learning & development, retention activities, goals/objectives, and key metrics related to DEI
- Demonstrate change management fluency by managing the DEI strategy with a clear vision of the long-term systemic change while navigating pressures for urgency and reactivity
- Ensure integrated alignment of DEI objectives across the organization and affiliates globally.
- Partner with brand-level HR and Leaders to drive implementation of DEI strategies, programs, and policies that will attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce and foster an environment of inclusion.
- Collaborate with client teams to embed DEI across partner relationships and client deliverables.
- Report to Spark Foundry and PHM’s Chief Talent Officer and Publicis Groupe’s Chief Diversity Officer to align on and drive agency results, while supporting Publicis Groupe’s efforts. Dotted line to Brand CEOs to ensure voice and enablement of Agency leadership is established and clear.
- Collaborate closely with Publicis Groupe’s centralized Talent, Engagement, & Inclusion Practice to align on core DEI strategy and partner to scale Groupe-level initiatives.
- Monitor diversity metrics and report on the results on ongoing basis. Improve year-on-year representation metrics and positively impact engagement and retention of Spark Foundry and Publicis Health Media’s diverse workforce.
- Manage budget of the DEI function across assigned organizations.
- Partner with Publicis Media Talent Acquisition teams to identify and drive diversity recruiting efforts with clear metrics
- Partner with Learning and Organizational Development and HR Business Partners to integrate DEI initiatives into Talent practices
- Navigate and assist the organization with any legal obstacles of implementing DEI initiatives
- Demonstrate cultural competence in employee relations through partnership with HR on any employee investigations or charges of discrimination or harassment.
- Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with other leaders in the field
- Identify and manage relationships with external partnerships and key diversity organizations on behalf of the organization
- Influence our DEI story collaboratively with the Marketing team to build the Spark Foundry and Publicis Health Media brands as diverse, inclusive, and equitable employers
- Represent Spark Foundry and Publicis Health Media externally at key DEI events and build a strong network/presence in the DEI community
- Be present and in the office, get to know our people, our ways of working including participation in new business pitches, present and presenting at our weekly and quarterly town halls and leadership meetings.
Qualifications- Demonstrated success in building and delivering a comprehensive DEI strategy with proven results
- 10+ years’ experience in relevant functions: DEI business management with relevant understanding of, experience and engagement with HR and Employee Relations operations
- 8+ years of effective leadership and management experience
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with core DEI concepts and practices, as well as strong capability in leading organizational change and cultural competency
- Track record of fostering, driving, and implementing innovative ideas with broad impact
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, awareness of and commitment to contemporary issues of inclusion, social justice, diversity, access, and equity
- Strong program/project leadership skills with a proven track record of innovative thought leadership, creative problem solving, and mobilizing others
- Strong collaborator with ability to connect across the organization to influence and lead change in partnership with multiple senior stakeholders
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning through a learning mindset
- Demonstrate strong discernment, empathy, and influence competencies
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Action-oriented focus with the ability to balance the strategic and tactical elements of the role

Compensation Range: $143,000 - $225,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
