Job Purpose
We are a mission-driven financial services firm seeking a Media Director to lead and optimize our media strategy across all channels. This individual will combine media expertise, business acumen, and creative leadership to deliver campaigns that resonate with our audiences and drive measurable outcomes. As the Media Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public-facing voice of our brand while ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will excel in both big-picture planning and the day-to-day management of a high-performing team, leveraging their natural eye for impactful media strategies and innovative ideas to elevate our organization's reach and engagement.
Note: This role would be 5 days in-office at our corporate office in Scottsdale.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of media planning, buying, and strategy across traditional, digital, and emerging platforms, ensuring campaigns deliver on business objectives.
- Develop and execute nationwide media strategies that optimize performance across channels such as radio, television, OTT, email, social media, and digital advertising.
- Partner with creative and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging, brand consistency, and alignment of media efforts with overarching marketing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, budgets, and timelines with media vendors to maximize ROI while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Oversee the creation and approval of media-related assets, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
- Analyze campaign performance data to provide actionable insights, refine strategies, and report outcomes to stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide team members in media planning, execution, and campaign optimization, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in media strategies.
- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to align media initiatives with business priorities, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the media team, including project workflows and team deliverables.
- Maintain a strong focus on integrated content creation and deployment across all channels to ensure a unified brand presence.
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in media planning, buying, and strategy, with a proven track record of successful national campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong expertise in integrated marketing, including TV, radio, digital, social media, mobile, and print.
- Exceptional multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding organizational skills and self-motivation, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data to inform media decisions and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing vendor relationships and securing advantageous terms.
- Familiarity with business objectives and the ability to align media strategies to meet those goals effectively.
- Comfortable working with senior leadership and presenting strategies and outcomes.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Experience in media-related roles within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot, or similar CRM platforms.
- Proficiency in project management tools and processes.
