The Retail Media team at Trade School is one of our fastest growing business units. We're continuing to invest in building the most talented team to scale our Retail Media practice. Trade School is focused on the sell side of retail media networks; we have a passion to help retailers strategically build their media networks.
Our team is built to act as an extension to our clients Retail Media team, such as The Home Depot, to play a role in building a media network that's beneficial to their company and their advertiser partners. Our services include executive consultation, sales support, sales enablement, product marketing, marketing & pr, monetization strategy and more.
Position Details
The Associate Director, Retail Media Managed Services will be a strategic leader focused on establishing and leading a newly built managed service offering and team in support of The Home Depot's retail media network. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the development of an industry leading retail media network. You will play a crucial role in leading and ensuring our managed service team is delivering best in class services and results.
This role will report directly to the Executive Director of Retail Media at Trade School.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Trade Schools Managed Service department initiatives (1) Direct Report who manages a growing team of (8)
- Ensure alignment with overall business objectives, while driving cross-functional collaboration between agency and client direct
- Lead team to achieve revenue targets through effective media buying & planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data and crafting strategic upsell opportunities
- Refine media buying Q&A process as new technology is introduced with retail media buying
- Manage & plan pipeline to reach revenue goals while effectively reporting on revenue expectations to agency and client
- Drive long term account strategy for Trade Schools Managed Service team with ability to flex in addressing strategic and tactical needs to drive positive business outcomes
- Influence clients sales strategy by collaborating with key stakeholders to craft scalable, strategic selling opportunities to increase revenue
- Identify strategic project opportunities for TS Managed Services team to instill thought leadership across the agency and to clients
- Integrate cross-functionally across the agency to support strategic initiatives relevant to retail media business needs (such as Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, New Product Development, etc.)
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of experience in media sales, media strategy/buying and/or retail media
- Knowledgeable of Retail Media Networks and marketplace positioning
- Forward-thinking with the ability to adept at both media strategy and team leadership
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- A strong background in sales & account management with ability to flex into sales operations
- Track record of operational and financial excellence when managing your book of business (i.e. forecasting accuracy)
- Experience in managing teams, demonstrates leading and inspiring others
- Comfortable working in complex and rapidly changing environments
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative working style
- Working knowledge of Digital Media platforms (Display, Streaming, Native, Social), Google, Meta, Pinterest, various DSPs and self-serve retail media platforms
