OverviewPublicis Media is actively seeking a UK Planning Director to lead the campaign planning across the Disney+ & National Geographic UK businesses – one of Publicis Groupe’s largest and most exciting assignments.
In this role, you will lead a team of Planning experts, towards the objective of executing the most distinctive, impactful, and efficient paid media campaigns for two of the globe's most iconic entertainment brands.
Focusing on Brand, Platform, and Original Content campaigns, you will help Disney+ unlock maximum subscriber growth amongst an ever-expanding streaming universe and National Geographic achieve their ambitious linear viewership goals. Disney+ & Nat Geo have a constant flow of premium content for all, and the world’s strongest back catalogue. It’s our job to ensure both subscribers/viewers and non-subscribers/non- viewers know about it, get excited about it, and feel the need to view, subscribe or renew their subscriptions immediately!
You will be reporting to a Business Director and will have 2 Associate Directors as direct reports.
Responsibilities- Provide clear cross channel media planning leadership to 6 x planners of differing levels
- Pinpoint the crux of each client request and provide succinct and targeted value
- Conduct final quality checks on all planning and strategy responses as well as establish and maintain a strong media plan QA process ensuring the upmost accuracy for our Disney clients
- Be knowledgeable and consult on Digital and Non-Digital matters
- Fortify key vendor relationships for Disney's benefit
- Provide exemplary client service and work together with the Business Director to ensure service assessment goals are actioned
- Assist in transforming client's business/marketing objectives into effective media strategies and identifying clear media measurement metrics per campaign
- Inject an energetic & positive ’Can Do’ attitude into all client engagements
- Hold 121 meetings regularly with Disney+ and Nat Geo Senior Marketing Managers
- Manage 2 x Planning Associate Directors, and supervise development plans for their direct reports
- Push the team to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo
- Articulate the current UK Media Landscape, challenges or opportunities facing the streaming category, and Disney+ current position in market vs key competitors
- Be knowledgeable on impactful and exciting market opportunities and the role they could play within the right media plan
- Diplomatically diffuse escalated situations and provide targeted support
- Apply structure and rigor to all client meetings and engagements
- Drive strong cohesion between Publicis Imagine Investment & planning teams
- Summarise campaign status in a succinct manner up to Publicis Imagine leadership
- Delegate across the planning team, whilst maintaining clarity on campaign status
- Maintain an organized and composed demeanour through busy periods.
- Support on annual strategy
- Find efficiencies and be able to confidently communicate them
- Lead on MMM data review and communicating with the EMEA team
- Management of annual plan and weekly reporting to senior clients
Qualifications- Solid cross channel planning experience
- Already be operating at Director level managing multiple senior level stakeholder relationships
- Big + if you have entertainment category experience
