The Retail Media team at Trade School is one of our fastest growing business units. We're continuing to invest in building the most talented team to scale our Retail Media practice. Trade School is focused on the sell side of retail media networks; we have a passion to help retailers strategically build their media networks.
Our team is built to act as an extension to our clients Retail Media team, such as The Home Depot, to play a role in building a media network that's beneficial to their company and their advertiser partners. Our services include executive consultation, sales enablement, product marketing management, marketing & pr, monetization strategy and more.
Role Description
The Senior Client Strategist, Retail Media will be the strategic business lead for a robust network of supplier advertisers, helping to proactively identify opportunities for value across our client's retail media business. You will specialize in strategic solutions such as content, messaging, media planning, audience development and thought-leadership to meet or, ideally, exceed client objectives. This role will report directly to the Strategy Supervisor of New & Existing business at Trade School.
Responsibilities
- Primary contact for a wide portfolio of supplier advertiser accounts, ensuring flawless management of advertising campaigns across The Home Depot's retail media network
- Develop a collaborative team approach with senior retail media clients and agency leadership, on workflow processes needed to support advertiser supplier accounts across media planning, self-serve ad buying, onboarding, reporting and consistent optimizations
- Foster and cultivate relationships with retail media clients and supplier advertisers, exercising a high-level of communication, while delivering excellent customer service
- Develop campaign reporting, curate strategic insights and identify sales, growth and optimization opportunities
- Identify and pitch upsell opportunities that align to supplier business goals and objectives
- Cultivate relationships with supplier advertiser senior-level leaders to spearhead and oversee success of investment for both onsite and offsite media offerings
- Present and lead recommendations with the ability to pivot, as needed, based on supplier advertiser questions and needs
- Lead and partner with teams to train and onboard new suppliers into retail media programs
- Support developing and executing comprehensive B2B brand strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Provide insight on emerging trends and industry developments as they impact the retail media landscape
- Manage the sales pipeline, including lead generation, qualification, and conversion, ensuring consistent progress towards revenue goals
- Stay up-to-date with retail media trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify new marketing approaches and opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic partnerships that enhance the retail media network's offerings and drive mutual growth
- Forecast revenue targets and develop actionable plans to achieve and exceed them
- Stay up to date on the evolving digital marketing landscape, including data/privacy regulations, technology advancements, and AdTech platform changes
Desired Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in media, digital, e-commerce or retail media
- Extensive client management and sales experience
- Ability to identify internal and external growth opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative working style
- Extensive knowledge of Digital Media platforms (Display, Streaming, Native, Social)
- Working knowledge of Google, Meta, Pinterest, various DSPs and self-serve retail media platforms
- Preferred exposure and usage of measurement tools and strategies
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, is preferred
