Responsibilities And Qualifications
Bonobos is seeking a Director eCommerce & Paid Media to be at the core of how Bonobos operates and our reinvention of how the customer shops. This role will be responsible for owning the strategy and management of the paid media and eCommerce channels while being a cross-functional leader working across multiple teams - Brand Marketing, Creative, Product (Tech) Management, Merchandise Planning, Site Merchandising, Performance Marketing, CRM & Retention, Data & Analytics, and more - to ensure Bonobos delivers a best-in-class digital experience to consumers. Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the paid media and eCommerce marketing strategies that will drive customer acquisition, increase engagement, and improve conversion rates
- Identify ongoing targets for each dimension of the business and integrate product investments and the resulting impact on the business
- Nurture and mentor the talented paid media and eCommerce teams to maximize their potential and fuel their evolution
- Collaborate with brand and creative teams to develop and implement paid media and on- and off-site digital content strategy that drives creative innovation and improves our product storytelling through digital channels
- Utilize customer analysis, including lifetime value and cost to acquire metrics, to optimize marketing programs and improve audience development of media programs
- Support the CMO and Finance team with planning and forecasting of the paid media and eCommerce channels
- Work cross-functionally with members of every part of the organization to ensure broad alignment and action to support initiatives that maximize opportunities and mitigate risk
- Create reporting framework that effectively captures program performance and produces actionable run-of-business channel optimizations
- Analyze, distribute and present all reporting to leadership while being able to clearly and concisely communicate program and channel performance and progress against goals in a cross-functional setting
eCommerce focus
- Lead the implementation of site strategies and eCommerce objectives to drive revenue and increase the health and growth of Bonobos.com
- Develop strategies for and manage implementation of site structure, digital product merchandising, conversion rate optimization opportunities
- Monitor and analyze performance data, while leveraging e-commerce best practices, cross-functional expertise, and creativity to identify areas of opportunity in optimizing site performance to achieve revenue and KPI goals while elevating brand equity
- Develop mechanisms to review and plan business from a conversion funnel, category, customer and market point of view
- Collaborate with Product/ Tech team to manage and implement onsite user testing development and execution, optimization, UX/UI strategy and design, SEO implementation and other KPI optimization initiatives
- Manage ecommerce and UX budget, collaborating with Tech team in management of vendors supporting the site and relevant tools
Paid Media focus
- Lead the strategic development and execution for all paid marketing channels (Paid Search, Display, Retargeting, Affiliates + Influencer Marketing, Paid Social)
- Develop actionable channel strategies and a strategic media plan that drives consistent and cost-effective demand initiatives with a focus on brand awareness, new customer growth and improved purchase frequency of existing customers while driving scale to maintain performance targets
- Develop full-funnel acquisition strategies taking into consideration audience targeting and segmentation, content and messaging testing, and conversion optimization on the site
- Manage paid media budget, aligned with strategic objectives, and monitoring spend and ROI based on identified KPIs
- Conduct MMM (multi-media modeling) approach in identifying ROI and impact of media investments
- Own our external agency, vendor and marketing technology relationships to progress overall media capabilities and marketing strategies through ongoing testing and optimization
- Define the marketing technology stack and provide guidance to leadership on in-house vs. out-of-house tech and team structures
- Act as the subject matter expert on all things digital marketing
Required Experience & Qualifications
- A positive "all-hands-on-deck" attitude and willingness to get the job done
- Interest in rolling up your sleeves and executing just as much as developing strategy
- Passion for problem solving and digging into analytics to identify solutions and areas of optimization
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing or other related fields
- 10+ years of successful experience across paid media (paid search/ social, display, affiliate marketing) and ecommerce
- Preferred experience with a fashion/ apparel retail brand and/ or retailer
- Have experience which demonstrates a deep understanding of paid media and eCommerce trends, best practices and strategies
- Have proven experience owning and managing comprehensive paid media strategies as well as eCommerce site strategy and planning for day-to-day operations
- A strong understanding and proficiency with eCommerce and marketing platforms, and the ability to interpret and understand performance metrics
- Are comfortable consuming large amounts of data and identifying clear opportunities enhance customer experience and grow company profitability
- Are able to pivot strategically based on campaign and channel performance
- While tech expertise is not required, can comfortably navigate technology driven conversations while maintaining a clear business focus
- Proven experience leading, developing and mentoring teams, including managing direct and indirect reports
- Experience managing external agencies and partners as needed
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Are able to transform detailed analysis into straightforward summaries for cross-functional partners
- Strong presentation and communications skills to present proposed strategies effectively to senior executives
- Experience managing budgets with the financial acumen to appreciate the probable impact of marketing strategies and to make decisions that benefit the business' bottom line
- Works collaboratively with team members to achieve deliverables

Actual compensation offered is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, work location, education, relevant skills and experience of the candidate. Salary Range $164,400 - $264,500
