Job Description
Do you have a passion for great creative ideas? Ideas that aren’t bound into a single channel or discipline. We’re looking for a MW Conceptual Art Director to join our Johannesburg studio. Someone with the ability to create campaigns that consumers love and can’t wait to share. Scope of the role:
To conceptualise and execute creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate our clients’ brand identities, positioning and messaging through all brand touchpoints.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Work with a Copywriter to conceptualise and produce award-winning creative work within the scope of the brand and creative brief supplied (i.e. TVC, print. billboard etc.)
- Present ideas / concepts in a professional manner to both internal and external stakeholders
- Work seamlessly and efficiently, by yourself and with others
- Create original graphics and layouts for presentations, print, TV, OOH, storyboards, social, etc.
- Collaborate with other agency members/teams/divisions to develop creative concepts
- Manage visual identity of brands
- Ensure consistency and integration of art direction across all communication channels
- Responsible for seeing the idea through the creative process to final sign off
- Work according to the brief - understand the relevance of the target market
- Keep abreast of current trends within the Advertising industry
Qualifications
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Tertiary qualification in Art Direction
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working as an Art Director in an Advertising Agency
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word / PowerPoint etc.)
- Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications (After Effects / Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD) and Figma
- Strong presentation skills (comfortable presenting internally and externally)
- Strong multi-tasking skills (able to work on multiple briefs at any given time)
- Strong time management skills
