Overview
The Executive Director, Programmatic COE will play a critical role in our centralized agency team to develop and advance our media capabilities and standards of excellence.
A performance native and comfortable speaking in analytics and product development, the Activation Lead will operate as a swiss army knife to assess current and prospective client business to position the agency as a growth machine for their business outcomes.
While the role is a digital native, this individual should feel comfortable stretching into all advertising territories to ensure a performance mindset is applied to all media channels and outputs.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of performance marketing, preferably at an agency or consulting agency
- Track record for successfully driving digital customer growth and revenue through across paid media platforms for a direct-to-consumer brand
- Experience within subscription and/or streaming ecosystem strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategic marketing plans for large, complex organizations
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills, with ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment of multiple priorities
- Magnetic for clients with the capability to lead them through transformation
- Creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit
Responsibilities
Strategic & Functional Lead
- Act as the highest point of digital leadership across the organization with practice experience across search, social, digital and programmatic
- Own end to end product and capability development and deployment for Hearts and marshal resources to ensure delivery on practice vision
- Operate as a performance media subject matter expert within the organization to ensure teams and process are operating at a high standard, employing best practice and maintaining expertise
- Work closely with Strategy, Marketing Science and Analytics and Investment to ideate on agency innovation and capability development in the digital and performance space
- Continually monitor the landscape for new partners and technologies that can be acquired or deployed in an effort to uplevel media capabilities
- Build senior-level client relationships to advocate for data-driven decision making by leveraging multiple data sources from tech stack, external partners and internal resources to increase customer acquisition and engagement
- Understand the client’s marketing platform tools, capabilities, and data in order to advise on ways to better leverage them to drive ROI
- Operate as a transformation agent for clients in varying stages of DTC expertise to improve their digital and performance media strategy and execution
Leadership
- Responsible for resourcing, load balancing, training, and access across performance marketing efforts for clients and new business opportunities
- Understand strategic and competitive position and guide capabilities to be recognized best in industry
- Contribute to industry thought leadership by collaborating on webinars, conferences, and white papers/blogs
- Assist Product Marketing efforts by writing and reviewing marketing collateral
- Foster a culture of continual learning, ensuring team members and agency colleagues are at the bleeding edge of performance media practices
Growth
- Support new business initiatives, including pitching, and responding to RFPs when needed
- Meet if not exceed aligned on discipline growth goals on a quarterly to annual basis
- Seek opportunities to identify organic growth opportunities within existing client sets
- Partner closely with our creative disciplines to bring inspired media solutions to our clients and incite business growth across Hearts and/or the OMG/OMC network
- Representing and promoting the interests of Hearts & Science internally and externally
Compensation Range
$200,000—$250,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs.
Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
