The Opportunity
We're seeking an Associate Director, Paid Search to lead multiple high-performing teams and drive client strategy across a diverse portfolio. This is an integral leadership role that will help shape the future of the department while delivering exceptional client results.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Paid Search and thrives on solving complex SEM challenges. You'll set the standard for excellence while fostering a high-performance culture built on transparency and results.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Drive client strategy development and execution to meet performance objectives
- Lead and mentor a team of 8-12 performance specialists across multiple Pods
- Conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings to provide guidance, feedback, and alignment
- Partner with Sr. Managers to optimize large-scale budget allocation and performance
- Performance Management
- Monitor client health through regular internal and client-facing meetings
- Develop and implement improvement strategies for underperforming accounts
- Collaborate with the Senior Director on department goals and initiatives
- Manage OKRs and KPIs across Pod teams
- Operational Excellence
- Own P&L management for Pod teams
- Create and refine SOPs and best practices
- Work with Data & Analytics on reporting optimization
- Lead resource planning and capacity management
Required Experience
- 8+ years of Paid Search advertising expertise
- Advanced Google Ads knowledge
- Experience managing $1M+/month in search spend
- 4+ years leading teams of 3+ members
- Based in Canada with strong English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Previous team lead experience (1-3 direct reports)
- Home improvement industry campaign experience
- GA4 expertise
- Bing Ads platform knowledge

- Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 CAD
